If a player defeats enough of them, the once-fearsomeGleeok suddenly doesn’t seem as intimidating as it used to be. After a while, the player might want to change things up by finding exceedingly silly ways to defeat the dragon. For instance, aTears of the Kingdomplayer who goes by ThornyFox posted a video in the game’s subreddit showing off a clever but absurd method for dispatching a Gleeok. While exploring the South Akkala Plains, ThornyFox came across a Thunder Gleeok they had already defeated at least once before. Using Link’s bow, they depleted the health of each of the Gleeok’s heads by shooting it in the eyes, causing the beast to collapse, and leaving it open for a melee attack. But instead of doing that, ThornyFox grabbed a large plank of wood using Link’s Ultrahand ability and slid it beneath the great beast like a spatula. What follows is deeply disrespectful to Gleeoks.

ThronyFox keeps shovelingone ofTears of the Kingdom’s massive dragonsaround until they found a lovely gloom hole to deposit it in. But that wasn’t enough for ThornyFox. They wanted to make sure that Thunder Gleeok died. So, they followed it down the hole, only to watch it despawn after having fallen for only a few seconds. Some slick editing transitioned Link back to the battleground, where the Gleeok was waiting to restart the fight with a fully-replenished health bar.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomempowers players by permitting them to defeat any enemy, solve any puzzle, and overcome any obstacle however they want. That freedom has resulted in some amazing sights, likebuilding elaborate death machines to kill Lynelsor ThornyFox disposing of a terrifying boss like it was a burnt pancake.
