This crafty fan has so far pioneered a varied selection of incredible machinery,including numerousTears of the Kingdomkiller drones, each deadlier than the last.
The latest addition to their custom combat aircraft portfolio is what the player dubbed their “best gunship yet.” Taking to Reddit, Ultrababouin showcased a convoluted contraption that makes full use of the 21-component limit thatTears of the Kingdomimposes upon players in order to deal rapid death from above. Their design also serves as a microcosm of the current state of the game’s building meta, as it leverages multiple advanced techniques for pushing the Ultrahand mechanics to their very limits.
For example, the gunship’s cockpit incorporates the guard rail from the Construct Factory in The Depths, which is also the lightest known component in the game that boasts extremely floaty physics and is easy to keep airborne. The actual propulsion is handled by twin propellers plundered from the Gemimik Shrine in eastern Hyrule, connected via a Zonai Big Wheel that helps them rotate even faster than normal. As if that mechanism wasn’t sophisticated enough, the propulsion system was joined to the rest of the gunship using stake nudging, a revolutionaryTears of the Kingdomtechnique for building invisible connections between objects.
Beneath that construction lies an array of Zonai Beam Emitters mounted on a Construct Head, one of only two components in the game that can automatically aim at enemies. The player also incorporated two Zonai Stabilizers into the build, presumably so as to make the aircraft more maneuverable. Overall, the gunship manages to overshadow theTears of the Kingdomcombat drones that Ultrababouin was experimenting withback in June, illustrating how far this prolific creator has gotten in their engineering endeavors.
