Genshin Impact2.7 comes with Yelan in tow. Similar to Xingqiu, Yelan is a Hydro unit that came from Liyue. However, unlike the Guhua Disciple, Yelan is a 5-star character, making her far harder to get. But on a positive note, C0 Yelan is pretty much comparable to C6 Xingqiu.
If C0 Yelan is comparable to the highly-overpowered C6 Xingqiu, this potentially means that her Constellations make her even better than Xingqiu. To help players decide, this article will include Yelan’s Constellation effect inGenshin Impact, along with a short review of their worth.

Updated July 04, 2025, by Nahda Nabiilah: Almost one year since her first banner, Yelan finally got a rerun in Genshin Impact 3.4. Since it has been so long, players finally got a better grip on her worth in battle. She deals far higher damage than the Guhua Disciple, Xingqiu, but she incredibly lacks the protection Xingqiu offers. Therefore, when playing Yelan, it’s crucial to note that players need to have a reliable shielder. Just a healer will not suffice as Yelan can’t protect the active character from interruption, unlike Xingqiu. Getting knocked by enemies will eventually lead to a lower DPS; a waste of Yelan’s massive damage.
Are Yelan’s Constellations In Genshin Impact Worth It?
Yelan’s best Constellations lie in her C2 and C3. Her C1 is mediocre, while C4 is highly situational. As for Yelan’s sixth Constellation, it will cost a lot to get but still won’t change much of her playstyle. If players are looking for the best value, then it’s best to stop at either C2, C3, or C4.
C1 - Enter The Plotters
It seems like one additional charge for Elemental Skill is HoYoverse’s favorite Constellation effect. This can also be seen in other characters like Ganyu andGenshin ImpactShenhe. For Yelan, her first Constellation causes her to deal more damage and regenerate more Energy. This allows players to play her with less Energy Recharge, but it’s not very important to have in general.
C2 - Taking All Comers
C2 Yelan is likely the bestGenshin ImpactConstellationshe can have.It increases her personal damage by around 20%and increases her overall Hydro application. But other than that, it doesn’t provide any form of utility.
C3 - Beware the Trickster’s Dice
Yelan’s Elemental Burst is the primary source of her damage, so her C3 is a great Constellation to have.
C4 - Bait-and-Switch
Yelan’s fourthConstellation inGenshin Impactis highly situational. In most cases, the C4 buff will only affect Yelan, but if she’s paired with HP-reliant units, then this effect can be amazing. Notable teammates that can benefit from Yelan C4 include Hu Tao, Sangonomiya Kokomi, Zhongli, and Kamisato Ayato. If players are planning to use Yelan with the aforementioned units, then her C4 can be highly worth it. If not, it’s better to stop at C2.
C5 - Dealer’s Sleight
Unlike Yelan’s Burst, her Skill has a far lower DPS, so Yelan C5 has a lower priority when it comes to Constellation’s worth.
C6 - Winner Takes All
Yelan’sfinal Constellation inGenshin Impactmay make her look like a Main DPS candidate, but unfortunately, this isn’t the case. Her C6 basically adds around two seconds of field time, and after that, Yelan should get back to being an off-field damage dealer. This effect isn’t so bad overall, but considering the number of Primogems required to reach this point, it’s not really worth the investment.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
