Raiders inWorld of Warcraftjust changed the game by crafting the world’s first Evoker Legendary weapons. While they metaphorically did so by obtaining the weapons themselves, they literally caused permanent changes inWorld of Warcraftby completing the quest for the first time.Recently,World of Warcraft’stop raiding guilds cleared Aberrus, the second raid inDragonflight, on its highest Mythic difficulty. By doing so, they acquired the Cracked Titan Gem–a special item that begins a quest for Evoker characters tocraft a LegendaryWorld of Warcraftweapon called Nasz’uro, the Unbound Legacy.RELATED:BlizzCon 2023 Dates AnnouncedWithin a short time of acquiring the first of these gems, world first raider of Team Liquid Sanghelios finished the quest and crafted the first Nasz’uro. However, something unexpected happened when he did: a worldwide message was broadcasted to players on every server announcing the creation of the Legendary weapon, with orbs of glowing light appearing in theDragonflighthub of Valdrakken. Additionally, Wayward Motes of Nasz’uro have appeared around the Dragon Isles. Any player can collect all 16 to earn a special companion pet–the Mote of Nasz’uro.

The pet itself is a glowing mote of Titan-like energy identical to the orbs players must collect to earn it. Unfortunately, players cannot use the mote in Pet Battles, but it is a great addition to theirWorld of Warcraftpet collectionnonetheless. It was only available on NA servers for a short while, but the orbs began to appear for EUWorld of Warcraftplayers after Nasz’uro was crafted on their servers, so it seems this feature is unlocked once a character from a realm region completes the item.

World of Warcraftplayers were charmed by this surprise unlock from crafting the Evoker Legendary weapon. Whileraces to world first inWorld of Warcraftare always popular, they rarely impact casual players in a tangible way. Many fans loved that these raiders literally got to unlock a feature for everyone as it helped form a direct connection between the casual and hardcore branches of theWorld of Warcraftcommunity. Fans hope Blizzard continues to make engaging secrets like this in the future.

The Cracked Titan Gem itself was locked behind Mythic Aberrus originally, but now that it has been claimed once, players can earn the Artifact quest item on any difficulty, albeit at a reduced drop rate. Evokers who want to earn this flashy Artifact should gather their party, venture into Aberrus, and hope the rare item drops for them when they defeatSarkareth in World ofWarcraft: Dragonflight.

World of Warcraftis available now for PC.
