Destiny 2 Season of the Worthy Start Date

First things first, Season of the Worthy is scheduled to begin on August 01, 2025. This means that there’s about a month to go, so players will want to wrap up any leftover Season of Dawn material in the meantime. There will likely be reveals concerning this content over the next few weeks from light teases to content reveals, so expectDestiny 2to begin pushing the next season relatively soon.

Destiny 2’s Promise of PvP

When Bungie revealed the Shadowkeep expansion and Year 3, devs stated that there would be a renewed focus on PvP. It’s clear that this has yet to be implemented, but all signs point toDestiny 2’s season 10 being PvP-oriented. This is echoed by the player discovery that Trials of Osiris, in some form, is returning this season, but players can likely expect this to just be a piece of the puzzle. There’s a good chance that PvP overall is going to be getting some extra attention, although it remains to be seen exactly how.

Destiny 2’s Trials of Osiris

As aforementioned,Trials of Osirishas recently been discovered in a data mine and is believed to be returning with the next season. It’s unsure if it will be Trials of Osiris or Trials of the Nine, but either way, this will be a big push on renewing PvP focus. It’ll also be interesting to see how it is implemented, as this is something that theDestiny 2developers have been considering for quite some time, but if Bungie is ready to bring this back, it’s clear that players should expect it to play a big role.

Destiny 2’s New Season Pass

As with past seasons, there will be a new season pass forDestiny 2. Season of the Worthy’s content obviously hasn’t been revealed yet, but it’s likely to be on par with past seasons. This means players should expect another weapon likeSeason of Dawn’s Symmetry and Season of the Undying’s Eriana’s Vow, which will also likely function in a manner similar to past seasons. That is,Destiny 2players who purchase the season pass will unlock it immediately, whereas those on the free trek will need to wait until roughly level 35.

There will also likely be more exotic weapons and challenges similar toBastion and the Corridors of Time. Hopefully, these new exotic quests forDestiny 2will meet all expectations, as the Empyrean Foundation event appears to be the answer to the Corridors of Time complaints.

New Exotic Weapons for Destiny 2

It’s worth mentioning that Season of Dawn is the first content run forDestiny 2since House of Wolves to not recycle old content.Season of Worthy should replicate thisD2fact, as it is far more interesting to see more unique weapons than older ones being recycled. Of course, that doesn’t Bungie will fully move away from including this type of content, as there are fans who love to see their favorites return, but there will hopefully be more new than old moving forward.

There’s a good chance that Bungie also has a few surprises in store, asDestiny 2is planning something big for season 11, and with Season of Worthy being the last season before it, it could very well set that up somehow. Of course, season 11 is quite some time away, but it’ll be interesting to see what Bungie cooks up nonetheless.

Destiny 2is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
