With the addition of Adventures toVampire Survivors, the game now has several independent stories for players to take on. These adventures have separate progression to the main game and feature a smaller and more focused collection of characters and weapons. While two of the three adventures currently available may be played regardless of any DLC owned, the final adventure added in the 1.8 update requires players to own the “Legacy of the Moonspell” DLC.
Vampire Survivors: Legacy of the Moonspelladded eight new characters, 13 weapons, six new songs, and a huge new stage to the game. The DLC focused on the Moonspell clan as they fight back against an onslaught of Yokai and Oni.While the DLC itselfallows players to bring the base game’s characters into the map and take on the challenge with their full arsenal of unlocked weapons and items, the Legacy of the Moonspell adventure instead restricts players to the characters added by the DLC. It also limits the weapons and items available until players either find them in the stages or purchase them at the Astral Bazaar.

Stages and Bosses
Players will begin this adventure facing a boss they likely cannot defeat just yet. By completing special objectives and progressing through later stages, players will be able to unlock more characters and unlock power-ups to prepare for taking down this boss.
Shrine Valley
To unlock Shrine Valley, players only need to survive for one minute in the opening stage, “Castle Grounds.“Players will have Miang unlocked from the start, and it’s fairly easy to dodge around Orochimario until one minute has passed. Just stay out of Orochimario’s way until the horde of Red Spiritello arrive to make survival considerably harder. After they arrive, it’s fine to die and end the stage, since the objective is complete. We’ll return to handle Orochimario later.
Forbidden Peaks (& Menya Moonspell)
To get to the Forbidden Peaks, you’ll need to track down Menya Moonspell. They’re stuck in a coffin in Shrine Valley, so use the map to find the question mark that indicates their position. Level up Miang Moonspell as much as possible while heading over there and max out a Pummarola as soon as possible to evolve the Silver Wind into Festive Winds. Players might want to grab another item on the way to Menya to unlock Gav’et-Oni, so check the characters and items section of this guide for more info on that.
Defeat the enemies guarding Menya’s coffin and let them out to meet the objective and open the path to Forbidden Peaks.

Hidden Cave (& Syuto Moonspell)
To unlock Syuto Moonspell, players will need to track down his Coffin in the Forbidden Peaks. An easy way to find it is to head for the Night Sword first.Players can see it on the map and navigate to it by going to the right from the starting point and following the path up the mountain. After reaching it, players can head into a cave on the left and move down, through a room, and then left, moving across as far left as possible inside the caves before going upward and wrapping around to Syuto’s Coffin.
Frozen Lake (& Megalo Syuto)
To gain access to the Frozen Lake, you’ll first need to calm down Syuto. Having flown into a rage and turned into his Oni form, he chases the player throughout the Hidden Cave stage. Players will need to take him down to clear the stage, a task aided by the collectible weapons scattered around the area. Grab the Summon Night and Bones scattered around the area, along with the Night Sword, but avoid the Skull O’Maniac.
Try to deal damage to Syuto whenever he’s nearby if possible, but ultimately,it’s more important to level up and upgrade weaponsso that you may carve through his health more efficiently. Players will need to defeat him within 10 minutes to complete the objective, unlocking Megalo Syuto and opening the way to the Frozen Lake.

Tanuki Forest (& Babi-Onna)
With the Oni subdued, Clan Moonspell heads for the Frozen Lake to seek out Babi-Onna.You will need to kill 3,000 Mad-Onna to free Babi-Onnaand complete the objective, and this stage has a 10-minute time limit to make things a little trickier. The sheer number of enemies on screen at once means finding enough Mad-Onna to kill shouldn’t be a problem, so players should focus on upgrading a weapon with decent range and damage to take them out quickly. Their sheer numbers can overwhelm you and drain a lot of health if left unchecked.
Mt Moonspell (& McCoy-Oni)
Next on the list of locales is the Tanuki Forest. Players will need to fend off an army of tanuki for ten minutes to unlock the path to Mt Moonspell and unlock McCoy-Oni. Miang Moonspell’s Silver Wind provides good AOE damage and healing for dealing with them effectively, so players should start there and head for the 108 Bocce weapon on the right side of the map to get another great weapon for this map.
Boosting Area and Amount will help to keep up with the oncoming hordes, but the Skull O’Maniac on this level should be avoided unless players are very confident in their loadout. There’s an abundance of Little Clover pickups around the stage too, so players could skip the navigating and use the Mad Groove Arcana to gain a ton of luck and grab the 108 Bocce at the same time.

Defeat Orochimario (& unlock the Astral Bazaar)
The rematch with Orochimario has arrived, with all of Mt Moonspell as the battleground. Players will need to survive for 25 minutes to encounter Orochimario and put an end to its reign of terror. This is a fantastic opportunity to unlock the Astral Bazaar too, as long as you’re up for a little challenge. To pull this off, players should pick Miang Moonspell, set the weapon number to 1, max out the Growth power up, and start the map with the Mad Groove Arcana.
Grab the Night Sword right away and then hold off on picking up the other items until you’ve got a Crown from leveling up. This will help Miang get enough EXP to reach level 80, so you should make sure you have it before collecting all the items attracted by Mad Groove and filling up your inventory. Prioritize Silver Wind, Pummarola, and Crown when leveling up, then level the Night Sword and Stone Mask once those are done.

This will allow you to evolve Silver Wind into Festive Wind, and the Night Sword into Muramasa. These two will help with survivability by providing excellent damage and healing, which can be further enhanced if players can get the Sarabande of Healing Arcana to boost their healing and create damage shockwaves. With these weapons and the various items drawn in by the Mad Groove Arcana, you should be able to take out Orochimario and hit level 80 before the end of the stage.
Characters and Items
There are a few characters and items players might not have access to after unlocking all the stages and defeating Orochimario, so here’s how to pick up the last few unlockables in Legacy of the Moonspell.
Megalo Menya
Unlocking Megalo Menya requires players to survive 30 minutes as Menya Moonspell. This isn’t too tricky, especially if players bring her into the Mt Moonspell map and use Mad Groove to give her a big item boost from the start. Menya will need to survive the full 30 minutes, so a source of healing will prove helpful here. Of course, daring players could try restricting themselves to her initial weapon and limit break it, creating a screen-wide explosion chain that simply refuses to stop, though this is much harder to get going due to her initial attack speed.
Gav’Et-Oni
Unlocking Gav’Et-Oni is pretty straightforward, players just need to grab their weapon from Shrine Valley. This weapon is the Mille Bolle Blu and can be found on the right side of the map, on the way to Menya’s coffin.
