Since its launch last year, Riot Games has been hard at workbuildingValorant’s esports scene. Essentially being launched to an online world,Valoranthas had to rely on online competitive events so far. Riot Games may have always intended forValorantto become its next superstar esport, but 2021 will prove whether or not it sticks. In 2020, Riot Games was able to host its first official tournament for the game, and fans saw100 Thieves winValorantFirst Strike. Throughout 2021,Valorantwill host official online tournaments that lead into three differentValorantMasters stages.
