Summary

Fans of the popular action-RPG survival game,V Rising, are really enjoying one of the small but helpful features that Stunlock Studios added in a recent update for the hit title. With the 1.0 version of the game finally out,V Risingplayers are discovering a wealth of additional content and additions to dive into, many of which truly take the game to the next level.

When it was first released in early access on Steam in 2022, Stunlock Studios' vampire survival game took the PC gaming world by storm at the time, withV Risingselling over 1 million copiesin only a single week following its initial launch. The popularity of the game tapered off somewhat over the months succeeding its early access release, but ever since the official 1.0 update was dropped on May 8 to critical acclaim, players have come back in droves. As of writing this article, the game has over 120,000 concurrent players and an 87% Very Positive user score on Steam. It’s safe to sayV Rising’s launch is going down well with fans. There’s one quietly-added feature in particular, though, that fans of the game have been thrilled with lately.

As spotted by Reddit user SocialMediaTheVirus in a post they made on the r/vrising subreddit, Stunlock Studios has added the ability to change the color of each piece of the player character’s armor whenever one wants to do so. What is arguably the best part about this feature, though, is that it is completely free of microtransactions. Since there are plenty of other games out there that are infamous for havingegregious cash shop transmogs, seeing the developers behindV Risingopt out of including tons of cosmetic in-game purchases is something that many gamers will come to appreciate.

The positive reception to this feature can be seen in some of the responses to the Reddit post. Commenter Nintheshadow, for instance, stated that the “armor changes are easily [their] favorite” additions to the game yet. Meanwhile, fellow Reddit user Spillo2382 shared a similar sentiment and called this newquality of life feature inV Risingvery “neat.”

Everyone looking like a clown at endgame was probably my biggest pet peeve with the game, now you’re able to actually make yourself look like a badass vampire.

One player, going by the name Elldar on Reddit, expressed their relief regarding their inclusion of improved color customization for armor sets, pointing out that “everyone looking like a clown at endgame was probably their biggest problem” withV Risingprior to the 1.0 update. Now that this issue’s been resolved, though, players like Elldar can finally make their vampire characters look as intimidating or as goofy as possible.

V Rising Fans Can Expect More Exciting Updates in The Future

Although the full release has come and gone, exciting times are still ahead for fans of this beloved vampire game, as Stunlock Studios is set to release more content updates for its hit PC title. In addition,PS5 players will finally be able to playV Risingsometime in 2024, though there currently isn’t any word on potential Xbox or Nintendo Switch ports. Hopefully,V Risingwill make its way to as many platforms as possible in the future so that more gamers can play this critically-acclaimed survival game.
