10Little Twin Stars
Little Twin Stars barely made it into the top 10 this year, and only beat the 11th spot by around 40,000 votes.
This is a huge fall from last year, where they securely made it into 8th place. Fans of Little Twin Stars should be careful as next year they might fall out of the top 10. Kiki and Lala are nevertheless both beloved characters.
9Tuxedosam
Tuxedosam stays in his place from last year’s ranking, making it to the 9th spot yet again. The difference between him and the 8th spot is not vast, and fans of this character can hope to push him even farther up next year.
This charming penguin character is popular for a reason, and 9th spot overall is a great achievement.
8Hangyodon
Hangyodon fell one spot lower since last year, ending at the 8th place, compared to last year where he ranked 7th. His spot was taken by a small difference of about 100,000 votes. Fans of Hangyodon can hope he pushes back up the ranking next year. Hangyodon is what can be described as a fish-like character.
7Kerokerokeroppi
Kerokerokeroppi, typically just known as Keroppi, is a beloved Sanrio character making it in the 7th spot of this poll. His 7th spot this year is a huge leap from last year, where he had only finished in the 12th spot.
This year, he finally breaks into the top 10. This cute green frog has a chance to make it even higher next year.
6My Melody
My Melody is one of the most iconic Sanrio characters, but when it comes to her ranking in the poll, she did not manage to break into the top 5, but still secured a well deserved 6th spot.
She held this spot since last year, and is likely to rank similarly next year as well, as beating the top 5 is no easy task.
5Hello Kitty
Holding her spot,Hello Kitty makes it yet again into the fifth spotin the Sanrio poll. To many, Hello Kitty is the face of the franchise, andwhen it comes to iconic Sanrio characters, she’s probably the most popular.
However in this poll, she falls short. But, this cat’s results are still great nonetheless, with her hopefully breaking into the top 3 eventually. She left behind the 6th spot by a margin, by close to a million votes, securing her spot properly.
4Pompompurin
Pompompurin almost made it to the top 3 this year, but ended up getting beaten by a couple thousand votes. This is a fall from last year, where he ended up in second place.
Undoubtedly, Pompompurin is still incredibly popular, and this golden retriever might have a better chance next year.

Cinnamoroll is, yet again,the most popular character in the Sanrio franchise, beating second place with over a million votes. He has held his number one spot consecutively since 2020, and this year is no different.
Despite what most fans might first believe, Cinnamoroll is not a bunny, but a white dog. With how Cinnamoroll’s popularity is going, it can be expected that he will come out on top next year yet again.
