Halloween is the perfect time of year for otaku to really let their passions shine as well, giving them a very acceptable and good excuse todress up as their favorite charactersoutside a convention. And sometimes, it gives people who like games or anime, but would not normally go to a convention or cosplay, a chance to show their interest.That is exactly what happened on Monday when two famous Western celebrities' Halloween pictures hit social media - and they were wearing anime costumes! Her costume was revealed via a video post onTwitter, showing her at a Halloween party. There was not anything in her history to hint at her being aDragonball Zfan, so it was an exciting reveal for many people to see the singer wearing an outfit from their childhood.
Her son, however, is a noted anime fan. There are also videos on Keys' Instagram of her son performingmusic fromJoJo’s Bizarre Adventureon the piano in front of a crowd of over 17,000 people. Clearly, she is a mom accepting of her otaku son, and it is nice to see her showing her own otaku side to the world, too!
Paris Hilton revealed her sexySailor Mooncostume via her Instagram. She dressed as the titular main character Sailor Moon herself, and captioned the post “Dressed up as my Childhood icon Sailor Moon! Happy Halloween!” The outfit was covered in sparkling rhinestones, and cut more revealingly than the original character design. She even did her hair similarly to Usagi’s style.
This is not the first time that Hilton has shown her love forSailor Moon, however. She has also dressed up as the famous heroine in the past as well. Back in 2019, the socialite posted another photo of herself in a different sparklingSailor Mooncostume. Even her Chihuahua, Diamond Baby, was in the photo as Usagi’s steadfast companion Luna. The photo was set to her song “Stars are Blind.”
Halloween is a chance for everyone to become their favorite character if they want, even in public! From normal fans to huge celebrities, many people dressed up this year to celebrate for the first time since theCOVID-19pandemic.
