Players and fans ofThe Witcherseries should immediately recognize this painting creation by u/ComfortableAny528. Triss Merigold has quite the recognizable look and this artist did a great job translating this to canvas. Though there are disagreements betweenThe Witcherbooks, games, and show on the looks of characters, for those who played the games, this painting is a great match. The character’s memorable red hair has been recreated flawlessly and it looks as though u/ComfortableAny528 went with Triss’s DLC outfit for this painting. The perfectly painted green dress is only overshadowed by the cool sorcery action Triss is doing in the painting. The colors are amazing and, all in all, this painting conveys Triss Merigold’s mystique quite well.
Paintings with this amount of detail require both an immense amount of skill but also an immense amount of time, as u/ComfortableAny528 notes. On their post they mention that it took between 8 to 10 hours of work to finish this Triss painting.
For some fans, the only thing that takes away from this impressive painting is the outfit choice for Triss Merigold. This sorceress has quite a collection of outfits and this DLC dress is far from the most recognizable. On top of this, many players won’t see this as being lore friendly asTriss Merigold is said to have a scarred chest from battle inThe Witcherseries.
Then again, this painting is instantly recognizable for even casual fans ofThe Witcher. The entire canvas matches the in-game design for Triss Merigold quite well. Regardless of outfit choice, however, u/ComfortableAny528 did an excellent job recreating this great supporting character on the canvas.
