Easter eggs have always been prevalent inStar Wars, and the new episodes ofThe Mandaloriancontinue the tradition of having a bounty ofStar WarsEaster eggs for fans to enjoy and make note of, whether they’re from theLegendstimeline or theClone Wars.

8Return To Mos Eisley

It seems thatStar Warsjust can’t escape Tatooine, despite how hard Luke Skywalker tried. The sand planet features in almost every piece ofStar Warscontent, but once again appears inThe MandalorianSeason 3, Episode 2. Audiences watch as Din Djarin and Grogu return to Mos Eisley’s spaceport and converse with their old friend Peli Motto.

The return of Mos Eisley is quite exciting considering that Tatooine has a new crime lord with Boba Fett. However, despite the expectations of Boba Fett and Fennec Shand making an appearance, they are sadly occupied elsewhere. However, Fett himself is mentioned in jest by Peli Motto.

7R5-D4 Returns

Some droids seem to be everywhere, which is a bizarre coincidence considering the galaxy far, far away has so many planets. R5-D4 makes yet another appearance and even assists Din Djarin onhis quest to Mandalore. The appearance of R5-D4 is a lot of fun forStar Warsfans, considering he was first seen back inStar Wars:A New Hope.

R5-D4 may not have the courage or the sass of R2-D2, but he will certainly try and get the job done if pestered enough about it. It’s great to see this R5 astromech droid get its opportunity to shine, especially after being so embarrassed after malfunctioning in front of potential buyers Owen Lars and Luke Skywalker.

6The Mighty Mythosaur

As one of the biggest shocks inThe Mandalorian, the great and mythical Mythosaur lives. A Mythosaur has never been seen in the flesh because they were supposedly long extinct many centuries ago. As such, fans did not expect to witness a living Mythosaur, dormant in the ruins of Mandalorewithin the Living Waters.

The arrival of a Mythosaur could spell great or terrible things, considering their gigantic size and danger. However, the Mythosaur is the traditional symbol of Mandalorians, noted on the armors of some of their people, such as Boba Fett.

5Concordia, Mandalore’s Moon

Din Djarinmentions to Groguthat he was raised on one of Mandalore’s moons, Concordia. What’s interesting about Concordia is the fact that it had been seen before, as it was used as a base for the Death Watch. The Death Watch is the remnant of Mandalorians that still seek the old Way, and thus, the reason Din Djarin was raised there as a Foundling.

Concordia was also governed by Pre Vizsla, a Mandalorian who once wielded the Darksaber, and is also the brother to Paz Vizsla, the Heavy Infantry Mandalorian. Concordia has many secret hideouts since it was an old mining planet, and as the home to Din Djarin, there may be many secrets and histories on its surface.

4Darksaber

Din Djarin may be the rightful owner of the Darksaber for now, but that does not mean he knows how to wield it.The Darksaber is more of a burdenfor Din than a useful weapon, as he cannot familiarize himself with its intense weight. However, that doesn’t stop him from using it against the savage creatures that lurk within the ruins of Mandalore.

Not only does Din Djarin wield the Darksaber again, but Bo-Katan uses it to fight against a few enemies. Bo-Katan is much more experienced with the blade and shows just why she is the rightful ruler of Mandalore, as she swings it as any Jedi would with a lightsaber.

3Bo-Katan’s Gauntlet Ship

There are many famous ships inStar Wars, and one of the lesser-known ones belongs to Bo-Katan. This ship is known as the Gauntlet, and has a very distinct style, with great speed and Hyperdrive. The many cannons and engines make for a great ship, and it’s even better considering it’s being piloted by none other than Bo-Katan Kryze.

Some fans were ecstatic to see Bo-Katan’s ship, the Gauntlet, again. This ship was seen in The Clone Wars and has finally been brought to live-action withThe MandalorianSeason 3, Episode 2. The wingspan and sharp edges of this ship make for a fearsome appearance when traversing the galaxy.

2Jedi And Mandalorian Alliance

When Bo-Katan returns to Mandalore, she makes mention of the alliance she once had with the Jedi. Thisbrings back old memoriesfor some, as Bo-Katan was a prominent character duringThe Clone Wars. She formed a friendship with Ahsoka Tano, as well as an alliance with none other than Obi-Wan Kenobi.

To seeStar Warsthrive in multiple mediums, from animation to live-action, is a joy to many fans of the franchise. It’s great to know that characters like Bo-Katan have carried on the history they share with the Jedi before Order 66.

1Mandalore The Great

Yet another mention is provided toStar Warsaudiences about Mandalore the Great. The identity of Mandalore the Great is unknown inStar Warscanon, but there is a detailed series of events inStar WarsLegendssurrounding Mandalore the Great.

The importance of Mandalore the Great cannot be understated. Not only did he ride the Mythosaur, but he also ledwars against the Jedi, showing just how dangerous the Mandalorians can be, and their rocky relationship with the Jedi Order. Mandalore the Great was a true conqueror for a reason.
