Summary

Dragon’s Dogma 2from Capcom gives players a flexible approach to classes, which makes it suitable for a range of different play-styles. A single-player RPG,Dragon’s Dogma 2allows players to change character Vocation often, offering a range of powerful skills and unique abilities to tempt players over to one Vocation or another.

But every vocation has skills that are great and others which aren’t so good - so here’s a look atWeapon Skills from each Vocation which offer the highest damagein the right hands.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 trickster

10Trickster: Doesn’t Do Damage

Has No Damage Weapon Skills

The Trickster Vocation inDragon’s Dogma 2is in a bit of a weird place. It functions kind of like a tank would in an MMO, but in the single-player experience that isDragon’s Dogma 2.ItsWeapon Skills all offer interesting choicesand effects, but none of them do any damage to enemies because the Vocation is designed around a completely different style of game play.

Trickster is an interesting idea, but its lack of damaging abilities or skills mean that many players would find it more suited for a support Pawn - except it’s unique to the Arisen.

9Mage: High Levin

Lightning Strikes Once, Twice, Five Times…

The Mage Vocation inDragon’s Dogma 2is aperfect support vocation, excellent when used with a dedicated support Pawn. But it does have some damaging weapon skills, some of which are very good.

High Levinis the upgraded form of the basic Levin attack and unleashes a flurry of lightning bolts upon enemies - with more to be delivered at the cost of additional stamina. It doesn’t take too long to cast, and it’s got good damage, so it makes sense to stick on an otherwise supportive Mage Pawn.

8Fighter: Riotous Fury

Best DPS option for Fighters

Fighters as a Vocation aren’t necessarily designed around being the best physical DPS, since their toolkit is better suited to crowd control and a moredefensive play style. That being said, Fighters do have a variety of options for dealing damage and perhaps the best one isRiotous Fury.

Riotous Fury is the Fighter Master skill, usable by both Pawns and Arisen. It unleashes a flurry of powerful hits against an enemy at the cost of a lot of Stamina, but as there are quite a lot of ways to reduce Stamina costs and to improve or restore Stamina, that’s not so bad for such a high damage skill.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Archer-1

7Archer: Tempest Shot

Best consistent DPS

Tempest Shotoffers the best consistent DPS for Archer Pawns or Arisen inDragon’s Dogma 2.Tempest Shot isn’t an especially flashy weapon skill, but it doesn’t need to be, thanks to its excellent utility and ease of use. The base skill releases a flurry ofarrowswhich get faster the longer the skill goes on. This is great on its own, but its upgrade to Tempest Shot unleashes even more arrows.

Tempest Shot is a great Weapon Skill for Archers, and even though it locks movement while it’s being used, it offers such a massive amount of damage that that doesn’t matter. Especially not if there’s a Fighter to draw enemy attention elsewhere.

Warrior fighting Goblins in Dragon’s Dogma 2

6Warrior: Arc of Might

Massive Damage at Massive Cost

The Warrior Vocation is one of only two advanced Vocations available to Pawns, and it’s a much more offensively oriented variant of the Fighter - much like its counterpart,Sorcerer, which is an offensive Mage. So the Warrior Vocation offers a real spread of great abilities, most of which deal large amounts of damage.

But the Warrior Master skillArc of Mightis a fantastic choice that offers massive amounts of damage at the cost of all the Warrior’s Stamina. Still, it’s a great choice in many a battle, especially thanks to fast Stamina regeneration from Mage skills or consumables.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Thief

5Thief: Skull Splitter

A Great Skill That Emphasizes Speed

The Thief Vocation inDragon’s Dogma 2is a great Vocation for players looking to deal fast damage with agile characters. Thieves usedouble daggersto deal damage, and the best damaging skill for Thieves isSkull Splitter. This skill can be used while in mid-air, so it pairs well with a Fighter or Warrior’s ability to launch allies, and unleashes a flurry of cuts onto an enemy.

As an upgraded form of the ability, Skull Splitter lets the user unleash an even larger number of fast-paced cuts to an enemy, making perfect use of the Thief Vocation’s agility to deal massive amounts of damage.

4Warfarer: Augural Flare

Can Choose Any Non-Maister Skill

arfarers inDragon’s Dogma 2are a flexible, varied Vocation which can essentially bebuilt however the player wants. Warfarers can use any weapon type, wear any armor, and use any non-Maister skill from any other Vocation. This gives Warfarers a real versatility which can’t be gained by any of the other Vocations.

So really, Warfarers can choose from any of the major abilities from the other classes to do massive damage, but a really good pick isAugural Flarefrom the Sorcerer toolkit. Augural Flare works really well in the hands of a player, and even though the additional hits cost stamina, players get lots of options for increasing stamina or reducing stamina costs, so Augural Flare arguably comes out on top.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Sorcerer

3Sorcerer: Augural Flare

Best DPS for Sorcerer

AuguralFlare is a great choice for the Sorcerer. The Sorcerer’s Maister Skill, Meteoron, is a fantastic ability capable of dealing massive damage, but Augural Flare offers the best DPS potential thanks to its other advantages. Unlike Meteoron, Augural Flare is affected by Quickspell and allows the Sorcerer to move while incanting.

This is big on its own, but Augural Flare lets the Sorcerer hit many, many times with large amounts of damage. The ability attaches an orb to the enemy which, when attacked, eventually explodes. But additional hits of the orb result in additional, stronger, explosions - and the upgrade to Augural Flare increases the number of possible explosions. A great choice of damaging ability for both Pawns and Arisen, and an easy pick out of Sorcerer’smany great weapon skills.

Dragons Dogma 2 Best Mystic Spearhand Build Guide

Base skill:None

Requires:Mystic Spearhand Vocation Master Skill Item,Paladin’s Enigmata

Mystic Spearhand is one of the stand-out Vocations inDragon’s Dogma 2,offering players a good mixture of Magick and Physical skills and damage and uses theunique Duospear weapon.Mystic Spearhand has a dynamic and fast play-style, and one of the best weapon abilities for Mystic Spearhand isWild Furie.

This attack creates an image of the Arisen which attacks multiple times as the Arisen does, dealing massive amounts of damage to any enemy - including some big bosses.

1Magick Archer: Martyr’s Bolt

Best DPS Weapon Skill In Game

The Magick Archer is a fantastic advanced Vocation inDragon’s Dogma 2available only for the Arisen. It comes with a load of great upgrades compared with the Archer, including Magick damage andsome great new skills.

Martyr’s Boltis the best DPS skill in the entire game, but it does come with a very large cost - it drains the true health bar of the Arisen. But a properly powered up Martyr’s Bolt will drain multiple health bars of even the game’s biggest, meanest enemies, making it an easy pick for Magick Archer.
