The latest patch forThe Division 2is live. Title Update 11.1 focuses on making big changes toThe Summit game mode. The patch also incorporates some changes that have been highly requested by players, including changes to shotgun damage in PvP, and increasing the chance at receiving Targeted Loot drops.
The Summit is a PvE game mode that was introduced toThe Division 2in Season 3. The Summit is a 100 floor Skyscraper located in Manhattan. Players climb floors, with each floor increasing in difficulty. As players progress up The Summit, they will encounter a randomly selected faction as well as enemies like Underground Cannibals, Ambushers, Raiders, and Rogue Agents. Every 10th floor the player reaches, they will face a boss while at the 100th floor, players will have to defeat three Hunters in order to clear the floor.

Players are now able open the Mega-Map and set their Personal Targeted Loot at any time in The Summit. Each player in the team of four will be able to choose whichever allocation they prefer. All players may have a different allocation selected. For their allocation players are able to choose theirweapon types, gear slots, mods, brands, and gear sets.
Directives now increase the chance for Targeted Loot to drop. Each active Directive adds to the total drop chance for Targeted Loot. This change applies to every mode Directives are used in, including missions, open world, and The Summit. Directives will still increase XP. Targeted Loot Allocations have been added for all gear sets, and applies to both the normal rotation and to The Summit’s Personal Targeted Loot.
While most changes in the patch were directed toward The Summit, There is a couple of changes to PVP that affect both the DZ and Conflict. The patch addressed an issue in Conflict that caused the Firewall specialization’s flamethrower to deal an excessive amount of damage. In addition to that fix, the update decreases the time-to-kill overall by 10 percent, and increased damage to shields by 25 percent.Shotgun damage has been decreasedby 12.5 percent.
For PvP players, the time-to-kill and shotgun adjustments will definitely be interesting, and may change the meta. The real highlight of this update is the changes to The Summit. Hopefully the Title Update 11.1 will make The Summit more achievable for most players to finish.
