Summary

Boruto: Two Blue Vortexchapter 11 dropped recently and fans got a much-anticipated battle between quite a few characters. For one,the battle between Himawari and Jurasaw to it that it was properly completed in this chapter of the series. This is something that fans have been looking forward to ever since the last chapter dropped, and the author certainly did handle it very well.

Fans got a proper glimpse of what Himawari could do in battle, and, clearly, she was able to hold her own for quite some time. However, another part of the chapter was focused on Sarada Uchiha, where she was to fight against Hidari, another one of the powerful Shinju. In this chapter, Sarada showcased her mental intellect, but, eventually, she was not given the chance to showcase her true abilities, like fans had hoped. Once again, it feels like she has been let down by the authors.

Sarada Uchiha’s Treatment In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations

Sarada Received Very Little Attention In Boruto Part 1

Sarada Uchiha has been somewhat of an average character in theBorutoseries. This doesn’t mean that she does not have the potential to be a good character, or that she is weak. But, from a writer’s perspective, Sarada is lacking in many ways. Much of that is down to the authors, who have simply neglected her in the first part of Boruto. Sarada is a part of the main trio of the series, alongside Boruto Uzumaki, and Mitsuki. If one throws in Kawaki as well, then, fans can then say that these four next-generation characters are at the core of Boruto, or, at the very least, were at the core of Part 1 of Boruto. Yet, the vast majority of the focus was on Boruto and Kawaki. Sarada only got moments here and there, such as when she fought against Boro. However, overall, she was quite underwhelming, which was very disappointing for the fans, especially since she is one of the main characters, holds tremendous potential, and has a lofty dream which once Naruto Uzumaki had as well. Her character certainly deserves better and fans had hoped for this to change In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.

Sarada Uchiha got sidelined through the vast majority of the first part of the series. At the same time, her growth as a ninja was stunted as well. Sarada was never shown to be able to keep up with the likes of Boruto and Kawaki, and even in the last battle of the series, she needed saving from Kawaki. This was quite clearly a sign from the author that Sarada would be a damsel in distress for the vast majority of the series, despite having the skills to be a character who stands on her own two feet and not have her entire character revolve around the protagonist, Boruto Uzumaki.

Fans had high hopes for Two Blue Vortex. This was especially because a lot of the side characters were getting a lot of attention in the first few chapters of the series. Recently, even Himawari started getting a lot of attention, which only meant better things for Sarada, given that, in the grand scheme of things, she is more important.

Sarada Uchiha In Two Blue Vortex

In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Sarada Has Once Again Failed To Make An Impression

In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, fans saw a new design for Sarada Uchiha, which was expected, and it can be said that this design was exactly what fans expected it to be. It was a decent one, and fans hoped that there was more that the author improved about Sarada than just the design. Readers were simply waiting for an opportunity for her to showcase what she was truly capable of. For instance, in the case of Boruto Uzumaki, he has received plenty of opportunities to fight so far and show what he has learned in the 3-year timeskip. On the other hand, Kawaki, although not as strong as Boruto, also got his opportunities and fans saw that his control over Isshiki’s powers had now fully matured. Even Himawari got an opportunity to showcase what she’s all about, as did Mitsuki, in his brief battle with Boruto.

This leaves behind Sarada, who fans had hoped would get her opportunity to shine inBoruto: Two Blue Vortex.

Something is going on! Something that only you and Sarada can deal with. That’s what my gut is telling me. And that’s why I mentored you. – Sasuke Uchiha

However, sad as it may be, the truth of the matter is that Sarada has been let down once again in Boruto. In the battle against Hidari, she had to be saved once again. The beginning of the battle was certainly exciting. Sarada was able to dodge one of his blows and land a powerful Chidori on his gut. However, this was something that she could perfume pretty well in the pre-timeskip of Boruto as well. This is nothing new, and yet, this is all that she offered in this battle. Using the claw marks, Hidari was able to land a powerful blow on her, leaving her at death’s door inBoruto: Two Blue Vortexchapter 11.

Once again, had Boruto not come, Sarada would have been dead. Hidari was looking to devour her completely and gain new powers, or knowledge. Boruto arrived in the nick of time, and saved Sarada. Once again, the main character of the series is there to save the day, and the side cast remains underdeveloped. This isn’t the first time that Boruto has saved Sarada and has taken the opportunity from her to shine on her own. Sarada has been let down time and again, unfortunately, this cycle doesn’t seem like it is going to stop anytime soon.

What Does The Future Hold In Store For Sarada?

Sarada Might Get A Few Moments Of Shine, But Fans Should Lower Their Expectations For The Writers

The future for Sarada Uchiha can still be bright. This is simply down to the fact that fans know that she will go on to become the Hokage in the future and that means she will definitely level up in terms of strength. Furthermore, it is a given that she has to showcase her power at some point later down the line. However, when that will be, fans do not know. For now, Sarada has been incredibly underwhelming after returning from the timeskip, and it feels like she hasn’t learned anything new in these 3 years, whereas others, such as Boruto Uzumaki, Himawari, Kawaki, and even Mitsuki, have taken their skills to an entirely new level.

Unfortunately,Sarada is the only one left behind, and this isn’t the first time that female characters of this franchise have been treated this way. Sure, one can argue that Himawari has been given a massive boost recently, but this character has only just started to get some focus and fans do not know how this character arc will end.

And, even if it did go well, that would just be one proper female character in around 100 chapters of Boruto. Hopefully, the author can flip this around and give Sarada the moments that she deserves in the future, because right now, things are looking bleak for her.

Boruto is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and theManga Plusapp. The release date for the next chapter of Boruto, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 12, is set to be June 11, 2025.
