Sefton Hill, Creative Director and co-founder of Rocksteady Studios, has shared what fans can expect to be the last bit of promotional marketing beforeSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s reveal at tomorrow’s DC FanDome. Hill has offered what appears to be the first actual screenshot of the Squad in-game. Hill also shares that fans can look forward to seeing “more of the story” and its characters, meaning that a full-blown story trailer may be in store.
However, no mention of a dedicated gameplay reveal is in sight, though that could very well be a part ofSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s showcase tomorrow as well. For now, it seems that Rocksteady wants to concentrate its principle interest onSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s four playable protagonists.
In the past week and as far as today, Rocksteady has gradually doled out pre-recorded voice and text messages from Amanda Waller’s hotline. These messages depict Waller as she scolds the Squad andorders them to kill the Justice League, with other messages sharing cheeky and humorous dialogue between the core characters. One message directed toward Captain Boomerang even includes a nod to Flash as “the fastest man in the world,” confirming that the Scarlet Speedster will make an appearance as a potential boss fight.
WithDC FanDome 2021 right around the cornernow, the wait is nearly complete for newSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguecontent, which fans hope includes at least a tentative release date. But because Rocksteady’s marketing has focused entirely on its playable characters, it would also make sense to see gameplay reveals that detail how playing as one character is distinctly unique compared to playing as another character.
