Updated June 07, 2025 by Mina Smith:Fibrous Leaves are such a massively important part of being successful in surviving the dangerous world of Stranded Deep. It is important to make sure that players know the exact details of when it will respawn, what it is used for, and how they can save time and space getting their fill of it. New information is now available, and players will want the most up-to-date facts possible. This article has been updated with new info, more details, and better how-tos that players have learned over the last six months of trying to survive in Stranded Deep.
Where to Find Fibrous Leaves in Stranded Deep
To get right to it, Fibrous Leaves inStranded Deepare obtained from the Palm Saplings and Yucca Trees that can be found scattered across the environment. Players cannot simply walk up to these plants and pick Fibrous Leaves, though, and they will instead need to call upon the assistance of a tool. During the tutorial, the tool of interest will be the Stone Tool that was previously crafted, but better instruments can be used for harvesting Fibrous Leaves as they become available.

Once a player has crafted an appropriately sharp tool and equipped it from within their backpack, they can then start searching for Palm Saplings and Yucca Trees in thissurvival game. That search will not take much time at all, as these two plants appear in relative abundance, and fans should hit the saplings and trees that they encounter with their tools. Indeed, these plants will shed Fibrous Leaves after just a few whacks, and players will be free to pick them up when that has occurred.
Saving Inventory Space
If players have the option, having the yucca fruit in theirraft’s storage inStranded Deepis better than Fibrous Leaves. Since the branches and fruit stack higher in a player’s inventory, they take up less room overall. The way to do this is to cut at the Yucca tree until all the leaves are gone, dropping Fibrous Leaves on the ground. Look back at the tree, and players will see that the Yucca fruit is now exposed.
The Yucca fruit can be planted anywhere the player lands, giving them new sources of Fibrous Leaves where ever they end up. This can also be done with palm fronds, which are cut from the tops of full-grown palm trees.

When Will Palm Saplings and Yucca Plants Respawn in Stranded Deep?
Palm Saplings and Yucca Trees will respawn after two in-game days in normal and three in-game days in hard mode, which means that players will almost always have a reliable source for Fibrous Leaves. Players can also plant both Palm and Yucca to ensure that they never run out of this very important plant. Still, fans should try to be thoughtful when allocating their Fibrous Leaves, as they have important uses beyond crafting Lashings.
Stranded Deepis available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
