How to Get a Fishing Rod in A Wonderful Life
One of the first things players should do after arriving in Forgotten Valley is tocollect all the available tools. This ensures they can get the most out of their farm and the valley’s resources. Many of the tools players will get for free, but the Fishing Rod must be purchased. Unfortunately, there isn’t a permanent shop outside of Vesta’s Farm in Forgotten Valley, but she only sells crop-related items like seeds and fertilizers.
To get a Fishing Rod, players must buy them from a traveling salesman named Van, who visits the small village on the third and eighth day of each month. While his inventory changes monthly, players can buy a Fishing Rod on their first visit for 500G.
After buying the standard Fishing Rod,players can get an upgraded version of the tool from Van when it’s added to his inventorythat doesn’t use as much stamina.
If they can’t afford it, Van will also buy things from the village, such as flowers, produce, and items gathered while digging in the mine area. Players can also plan and save up money earned from the Shipping Bin on their farm.
Sheep Wool, in particular, is worth thousands of dollars per fluff, so using the Clippers to harvest it is agreat way to earn money quickly. Cows also provide sellable Milk dailyas long as they have Fodder to eat and are happy.
How to Fish in A Wonderful Life
Players can fish in any natural body of water in Forgotten Valley. Different fish species are found throughout the ponds, rivers, and ocean in varying sizes. The larger the fish, the more it’s worth, so gathering as many as possible is the best way to use fish for fast money.
Players can also look for various animals, such as a lizard with a bandaged leg or a tortoise with a red ribbon tied into a bow around its neck near the water. These creatures mean it’s a lucky day, and big fish are nearby.
To fish,equip the Fishing Rod and get close to a water source until the “Fish” option appears. Hit the correct input to throw the line and then wait for the shadow of a fish to appear underneath the bobber. The fish will pull the bobber under the water, and once it’s time to reel it in, an exclamation point will appear above it.
Players need to hit the same button they used to throw the line at this time, and it will automatically pull it in and reveal the species and size.
