WhileStardew Valleybegins as a fairly large environment, players open up a handful of new areas as they progress through the game’s seasons and years. Once players arrive, they will quickly realize that they can exchange the Golden Walnuts for the creation of new paths and structures on this island inStardew Valley.
One of these buildings can actually draw inpeople fromStardew Valley’s Pelican Town, giving them unique dialogue for players to experience. This is a place known as the Island Resort but getting this structure can be a bit of a challenge. For those players looking to unlock the resort and all that it has to offer, this guide is here to help.

How to Unlock the Island Resort in Stardew Valley
Unfortunately, this building is far away for thoseplayers just starting their journey inStardew Valley. While Ginger Island is an exciting area, it remains out of reach until players have either purchased all the options on the Joja Community Development Form or completed all the bundles at the Community Center. The Community Development Form with the JojaMart membership costs players $140,000 while the Community Center asks players to collect dozens of different items and crops.
Once either one of these tasks has been completed, Willy will send a letter to the player two days later, asking them to head to the back room of the Fish Shop. This will reveal Willy’s boat which is the only way forplayers to get to Ginger Island inStardew Valleyfor the first time. The cost of repairing this vessel is quite expensive at 200 hardwood, 5 battery packs, and 5 Iridium bars.

Once on the island, players need to meet the island resident Leo, give the parrot in his cabin a Golden Walnut, and unlock the western part of the island by giving the parrot next to the sleeping turtle ten Golden Walnuts. Fortunately, these items can befound all over Ginger Island inStardew Valley. On this side of Ginger Island, players need to repair the farm by paying the nearby parrot 20 golden walnuts. This finally opens up the option to repair the island resort by giving 20 Golden Walnuts to the parrot by the ruins near Willy’s boat.
