Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Editionwill be out in a matter of weeks, and so far, it seemsGrand Theft Autofans are excited for the collection. Instead of simply porting the PS2-eraGrand Theft Autogames to modern consoles,Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Editionis making some sweeping graphical changes and implementing a new control scheme, which should go a long way in making the games feel new again.

Rockstar Games has not offered a detail list of all the changes that will be implemented inGrand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, but fans have been taking apart the reveal trailer to find them. Previously, fans found evidence to suggest thatGTA Trilogyis removing the Confederate flag, and now they think they’ve found evidence to suggest that Tommy Vercetti fromGrand Theft Auto: Vice Cityis going to have a slightly different character model in the new game.

Reddit user asteroidblues shared an image that compared how Tommy looks in the originalGrand Theft Auto: Vice Cityto his appearance inGrand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. Asteroidblues and other Reddit users have made the observation that Tommy looks slightly heavier inGTA Trilogywhen compared to his original character model. It’s unclear why this change was made.

Unless new game mechanics were added, it’s unlikely that Tommy’s weight will fluctuate in the actual game itself. Weight gain and loss is a feature inGrand Theft Auto: San Andreas, however, where players are able to make main character CJ overweight or in shape based on the actions they do in the game. For example, eating excessive fast food inGrand Theft Auto: San Andreaswill eventually make CJ obese, whereas excercising will make him lose weight.

Fans pointed out other differences when comparing howTommy Vercettiappears in the originalGrand Theft Auto: Vice Cityversus how he will appear inThe Definitive Edition. It seems the more cartoony art style used in theGrand Theft Auto Trilogyis seeing some “detail” removed from his character model, like buttons on his Hawaiian shirt, for example.

With these differences discovered prior to launch, it will be interesting to see what else fans find when they are able to dive intoGrand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Editionfor themselves. TheGTA Trilogyrelease dateis right around the corner, so fans will find out before too much longer.
