ForCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers, it’s been sort of a rollercoaster since the arrival of the Season 3 update forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare. While the seasonal update added in the highly requested Quads mode which allowed 4 players to band together, it surprisingly came at the cost of the standard Trios mode. After much backlash from the community,Trios was quickly added back in, though in record fashion, a new controversy has arisen once more.

This week’s playlist update forCall of Duty: Warzoneadded in a new limited time mode called Scopes and Scatter Guns, which limits players to only using snipers and shotguns. Unfortunately, the arrival of this new mode also signaled the end of standard Trios, which was just recently added back a week ago. While Scopes and Scatter Guns is a Trio style mode, most fans seem to be in agreement that it’s simply not a suitable replacement.

The discontent seems to be less about the new limited time mode and more about the fact that the standards Trios mode was replaced once again in just over a week’s time. Many were hoping that Trios, the mode that came with the game on day 1, would be back permanently after it wasquietly removed when Quads debuted in Season 3. Apparently, that was not the case and most players have been left wondering why the basic Trios mode can’t remain available. Following the playlist announcement on Twitter, many replies have let Activision and Infinity Ward know their displeasure.

It’s highly likely that Trios returns in full next week but its abundantly clear thatWarzoneplayers are not in favor of losing the mode in any capacity. First when it was replaced by Quads, and now its removal at the hands of the new LTM playlist.

Outside of the playlist update and fan’s continued pressure to add a dedicated Duos mode, this week’s update also made a few changes to the popular online mode. First, an update to the killcam now displays whether or not the person was using perks like Dead Silence or Stopping Power. In addition, theSolo playlist has removed armored truckscompletely to switch up the meta. These vehicles have proven to be a major advantage for players and can not only guarantee some easy kills but also act as a quick way to earn cash to purchase things like loadouts.

Call of Duty: Warzoneis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
