Summary
In order to clear a dungeon successfully, players are required to have a good sense of team building, as each character will have their own unique trait. Each role plays its own part in the team when fighting against monsters. Among all the roles in a party,Magesplay a vital role in a variety of ways.
Mages are very versatile hunters as they can cast elemental spells, enact curses, or summon phantoms and spirits. Mages play a vital role in any adventure as they support the rest of the party from behind. Naturally, inSolo Leveling:ARISE, Mages are vital to a team, andcan be used in a variety of ways. The game offers a variety of Mages, and players might be unsure about which one to pick. This list aims to help players with picking the best mage characters in the game, ranked from worst to best.

5Jo Kyuhwan
The Lackluster Mage
The only Light attribute mage available in the game,Jo Kyuhwanis an SR Mage.Jo’s skill set is lackluster, and while his damage-dealing abilities are average, they are nothing worth fretting over. Players can utilize Jo in some instances, as he deals more damage to burning enemies, but despite this, it doesn’t make much of a difference to his overall value.
Jo Kyuhwan’s special skill burns its target, allowing him to self-sustain his buff against enemies without the help of team members. Despite all that, his lack of utility makes him the worst option as a Mage, putting him at the last position on this list.

4Song Chiyul
The AoE Mage
The thin, middle-aged man from the manhwa,Song Chiyul, comes to the game as a SR Mage wielding the fire attribute. While the game decided to go with his swordsman design with an arm missing instead of his Mage design, Song Chiyul is still a good Mage-class character for players.
Song can be primarily used by players in stages with mobs, as his attacks come with good AoE effects, and his ability to deal extra damage to non-boss monsters in the game helps clear out crowds of weaker enemies. Song is a strong Mage that deals burn on enemies with his basic and special skills, making him a good choice to play with other DoT hunters.

3Park Heejin
The Support Mage
Mages usually play a support role on the team, as they provide buffs and debuffs to friends and foes alike.Park Heejin, the Wind element SR Mage, does the same kind of work. Park has the ability to increase the damage of the ultimate skills of her team when her special skill is used. Her ultimate skill unleashes a windstorm on enemies that deals a lots of damage, adding some destructive powers alongside her support nature.
Park Heejin being a SR character makes it easier to acquire her dupes, which makes her even stronger. Park can also remove debuffs from team members with her special skill, making her a well-rounded support in dangerous dungeonswhere anything can go wrong at any moment.

2Lee Bora
The Dark Team Support Mage
Some mages cast offensive spells, some cast defensive spells.Lee Bora, on the other hand, plays a bit differently, as she summons foxes to her side to attack enemies. Scaling with Attack, this Dark SSR Mage is a great option for players.
Lee Bora has a great synergy with Dark users, making her a vital part of any Dark team. Her basic skill allows her to increase the Dark elemental damage of the team, all the while summoning a phantom fox to attack enemies. With her special skills and passive ability, Lee Bora is also able to increase the damage taken by enemies, making her an S-class support unit in the game. As time passes, her use in a variety of team compositions will be unveiled, so players should try to obtain her as soon as possible.

1Choi Jong-In
The Nuke Mage
Choi Jong-Inis not only the best Mage available in the game, but also one of the best characters that the players can obtain. The Guild Master of the Hunters Guild, Choi Jong-In, is one of the strongest damage dealers inSolo Leveling:ARISE.
Packed with overwhelming firepower, Choi Jong-In scales up his abilities with Attack. Choi is a bit different from other SSR units, as players can not crit with him, but his raw attack compensates for that inability. Choi’s basic skills deal a large amount of damage, burning enemies to crisp. With his special skills, Choi is able to apply debuffs on enemies that reduce the target’s defense and apply burn on them, making him into a walking incinerator.

His passive ability makes him unable to perform critical hits, but to compensate for this debuff, his attack is increased exponentially, followed by a skill cooldown reset, all the while increasing his Attack and Defense Penetration. The Master of Hunters Guild is the strongest Mage available in the game currently and, with his explosive powers, he is an amazing option for players to roll for whenever he is available.
