Scutarior’s character accompanied them through part of high school and college, and they decided to give them some well-earned rest. So, they took the old hero to theircustom-built house inSkyrim, put on some Emperor clothes, stored all their weapons away, sat them at the table, and then turned off the game, giving farewell to this character after so many adventures.
This poignant story was enough to make the post gain over 1,500 upvotes, and it motivated several other players to do the same with their oldSkyrimheroes. In the comments of the post, several gamers told their own stories of retiring characters. For instance, one gamer claimed to retire their Dragonborn by leaving them at Lakeview Manor with his wife and kids. Another player gave their female character a farm, where she lived with her husband after saving the world a few times.
While Bethesda shifted its attention away fromSkyrima long time ago, aside from eventually releasing remasters, it still remains the most popular game ever made by the developer.
