That time may soon be arriving, with a report indicating Ubisoft is preparingSkull and Bonesto be unveiled anew at an upcoming event.The leaked information comes from Tom Henderson, who claims to have heard that Ubisoft has an event planned forSkull and Bones' latest reveal to occur in early July. More specifically, the event will be held during the week of the Fourth of July holiday. It’s unclear if this will be aSkull and Bones-focused event or a larger Ubisoft event, a delayednot-E3 press conferencestyle of presentation. An official gameplay reveal is obviously the biggest aspect of such a reveal, as Ubisoft lets players look at what the pirate game has now become. This release date has previously been said by Ubisoft to be in the second half of the fiscal year, soSkull and Bonesarrives either late 2022 or early 2023.

Henderson is known to be a reliable source for insider information, though there’s always a possibility that the information he heard was incorrect or that plans have since changed.
For those curious about howSkull and Boneshas changed over the past several years, early reports on its gameplay indicate that it’s now a co-op and multiplayer open-world experience. It will feature a pirate-themed social hub from which players can accept different types of missions. These missions can be PvP-focused or PvE, though PvE missions can lead to PvP encounters in the open world. Players will earn rewards and progress much like otherlive-service titles likeDestiny 2.
