Salt and Sacrifice: How to Play Local Co-Op
To start a local co-op session, players must connect a second input device and navigate to the game’s main menu. From here,Souls-likefans should press a button on the second input device to cause a menu to appear on the right side of the screen. Salt and Sacrifice: How to Play Online Co-Op (Friend)
The first step toward accessing online co-op play with a friend is to complete the tutorial and reach the game’s hub area, Pardoner’s Vale. At the bottom of this area, players will encounter an NPC named Runereader Diedela, and there is a cooperation board to her right. Salt and Sacrifice: How to Play Online Co-Op (Random)
Join
To team up with a random player, fans must obtain and use the Pale Candle. This item is found in Ashbourne Village, the game’s first area, and players will need to progress to the point where they can pass through the gate to the right of the spawn location. After going through that gate, fans should drop through the wood scaffolding and use the door in the bottom-left corner, which is opened with Mage hearts.
Upon reaching the other side of that door, players should make their way down and use the first exit on the left to reach Greymoss Mire. Using the Grappling Hook to swing to the left in this area will ultimately lead players to an NPC who will return toSalt and Sacrifice’s Pardoner’s Vale. More specifically, she will inhabit the building that is just below the cat in the hub area, and fans should speak with her there to earn the Pale Candle.

Host
To host a co-op session with a random player, fans must use a Guiltless Shard to remove the Spellmark. These items are frequently dropped by the enemies that are summoned by Mages, andSalt and Sacrifice’s Marked Inquisitoris likely to encounter them in many other locations as well.
After removing the Spellmark, players must use the Golden Candle, another item that is found in Ashbourne Village. To collect this item, fans should make their way left from the spawn point and enter the first cave that they encounter.Salt and Sacrificeplayerswill then find themselves in the Root-Ceil Cavern, and they must head downward and locate an exit in the middle of the right side. There is a chest just past that exit, and the Golden Candle is inside it.
