In this souls-like game, a player may face enemies that will hit them for certain status effects. Allowing the bar of poison or other fungal disease buildup to be decreased by using a small amount of focus.
Although there are items that can reduce this buildup, having this skill automatically on-hand can be very useful. Players that have unlocked a Class Two Banereader and the Damp-rot Stave or a Class Two Glyphreader and the Unliving Crook, will be able to cast this skill immediately for only five focus.

9Cure Wounds Allows Players A Cheap Heal
As crucial as reducing the buildup of poisons, being able to heal on command is a large priority when facing difficult enemies, especially if notplaying the cleric class whostarts with healing abilities. By only using five focus, an injured player can heal back a fraction of their health.
This runic art can be found on a variety of weapons such as the Divine Staff, Golden Scepter, Stave of Mercy and the starting weapon of the cleric, the Runed Mace. They must also be a Class one Glyphreader which is easily accessible.

The weapon’s Headtaker and the Palatine vanguard both possess this Runic Art,which requires rage for itto be cast. Unlike focus, where the bar starts completely full and then depletes, a player must hit enemies to muster their rage before being able to cast the art.
7Protection Through A Circling Swarm
Players that are hoping for a little more protection while also taking on the role of the lord of the flies himself will want to use the runic art, Circling Swarm. These tiny insects when put together can guard the player from on-coming attacks for the simple cost of six focus.
It also only requires a class one Banereader or Glyphreader as it can be found on a variety of weapons such as the Cleaver of Flies, Mangleblade, and the Rothook, making for an interesting choice in weapon.

6Create Mass Destruction With Firestorm
Those that are playing as a Paladin, or adamage-filled melee build, will definitely benefit from this runic art. Being able to summon flames from the earth that will eviscerate enemies on the spot, there is much mayhem to be had through Firestorm.
It’s also incredibly affordable as it only requires five rage and a Class Four Banereader skill, to let players keep hitting those that are in front of them. However, players should consider their weapon of choice carefully, as this runic art can only be found on the Redscar Vanguard.

5Gray Seekers Pursue Enemies
The Exalted Greathammer is another viable choice, especially for those hoping to deal damage up close and at a distance. This large weapon can hit directly for a decent amount or, for seven focus, can reach out with several gray tendrils that seek out and attack enemies.

It does however require a Class 4 Glyphreader skill, which means players may bewaiting a whileto unlock this ability. Though even without this skill, the Greathammer is a great addition to any player with a strength build.
4Hit Fast Using An Umbral Wave
For players that prefer to be on the fast side of things over slow and heavy hitting, the Umbral Wave does a fair amount of damage with no cooldown on its use. This runic art casts a fast-moving wave of dark energy that hits enemies for only a cast of three focus, making it cheap as long as players don’t use it consistently.
It’s a great choice for a speedy duelist as the runic art can be found on the Dakutachi, Eclipse Razor, and the Shadow Naginata. They require either a Glyphreader or Banereader in the class three, depending on which weapon is being used.

3Blue Lance Attacks From A Distance
In most cases, a player that hopes to survive will want to attack from a distance. Whilebows are a great choiceof weapon, they can be very ineffective when it comes to damage, that’s why lances are far more desired.

This is another great choice for a duelist or even a fighter, as it can be found on both the Blueheart Blade and the Blueheart Twinblade. With a Class four Glyphereader, the Blue Lance shoots forward from the weapon, damaging foes for only three focus.
2Blood Blessing Heals Allies While Damaging Foes
Cure wounds may be a useful runic art to have to allow a player to heal back damage easily. Blood Blessing takes this and makes it even better as players don’t only heal, but they heal from the damage they have dealt another, sucking their life force from them.
As an art that can only be found on the Vampiric Stave, some player may miss this entirely, though any sort ofmagic-based buildwill benefit greatly from this art. This is also easy to unlock as it only needs a Class two Banereader skill to use.

1A Vortex Of Pain With Time Blades
Players ofSalt and Sacrificemay debate the importance of offense, defense, and healing, when choosing the best runic art, in the end Time Blades took the glory for the power it possesses.
Found only on the Temporal Reaper and Twinsickle, players will need to have a Class four Glyphreader skill if they hope to attack enemies with a vortex of blades. It does cost a pricey eight focus to cast, though this is incredibly worth it when taking into consideration the painful damage it deals.
