WhenRocket Leaguedeveloper Psyonix was acquired by Epic Games last year, it was clear that changes would be coming to the popular car-soccer game. Today, the biggest of these changes,Rocket League’s transition to being free-to-play, has finally arrived, bringing with it a seasonal reset and the removal of the game from Steam’s storefront. Not only that, the transition has set the stage for this weekend’s crossover event withFortnite, “Llama-Rama."

With the move to free-to-play, the game is now on similar footing with Epic’s popular battle royale, and to celebrate that, the upcoming event will give players the opportunity tounlock exclusiveFortnite-themed rewards inRocket League, along withRocket League-themed items that can be used inFortnite.

In typicalFortnitefashion, players will be able to earn these cosmetic items through in-game challenges that can be completed while they play normally. The Llama-Rama event will take place from September 26 to October 12. While it won’t be kicking off for another few days, Epic has already revealed the challenges and the rewards each will provide players (which is just as well, sinceFortnite’s challenges tend to leak ahead of timeanyway). Here’s the breakdown:

CHALLENGE 5 – LLAMA LEGEND

In addition to all of these rewards, completing all of the Llama-Rama challenges willaddFortnite’s Battle Bus toRocket League’s roster of playable vehicles. This will giveFortnitefans a way to express their love of the game inRocket Leaguethat doesn’t involve plastering cartoon llamas all over their car.

As for claiming rewards throughout the event, players will be able to find the rewards they earn in the game’s Event Challenge Page.Fortniteplayers, meanwhile, will automatically claim their rewards upon logging into that game, so they won’t have to deal with taking any extra steps before they can take theirRocket Leaguecosmetics out for a spin.
