There is no doubt that there are plenty of secrets and mysteries awaiting players to uncover in theResident Evil 4remake. While some provide more backstory and lore, others are more beneficial to Leon in a more tangible way. In the early chapters of the game, players will come across Wayshrines with no method of opening them up but knowing that there are valuable treasures within, it is vital that they be revisited at some stage.
That will become a possibility once players are able to obtain the Wayshrine key, which can then be used to open up all the Wayshrines found inResident Evil 4. This guide will show the way in which to do so, as well as all the potential rewards that come with the hard work of putting in the steps.

How to Get the Wayshrine Key in Resident Evil 4 Remake
While Wayshrines are visible early in the game, the path to opening them up only comes in Chapter 4. Once players have defeated Del Lago and made their way to the Boat House in the southeast corner, the game will require the solving of the Cave Shrine puzzles to progress. However, that is not the aim just yet.
Instead,follow the path around the cave system to find another dock, which just so happens to have a shrine just next to it. Open up the box inside, and the Wayshrine Key will be added to the inventory.
Finding All Wayshrines in Resident Evil 4 Remake
With the Wayshrine Key in hand, the time to revisit old haunts and get more treasure is now. In total, there are five different Wayshrines that can be found in the surrounding areas, each possessing a different treasure that can then be sold tothe Merchantfor even more currency to fund Leon’s upgrades.
Wayshrine #1
Head to the Merchant, who can be found in the southwest corner of the lake near the Quarry. Go on the path back towards the Quarry, and the Wayshrine will be along the path. Open the box up and grab the Butterfly Lamp.
Wayshrine #2
Go back to where the Merchant is, and climb down the ladder to the nearby dock. From here, head further west into the caves and find another nearby dock. The Wayshrine here will hold the Splendid Bangle.
Wayshrine #3
For this Wayshrine,take the boatand head north on the lake towards the Lakeside Settlement. The Wayshrine can be found on a path in the middle of the area, where players can get their hands on a Pearl Bangle.
Wayshrine #4
The last Wayshrine that can be obtained in Chapter 4 can be found way back atthe Farm. Just next to the gates towards the east, opening up the box at this Wayshrine will reward players with an Antique Pipe.
Wayshrine #5
As for the final Wayshrine, this can only be obtained in Chapter 6 in the Checkpoint area. Either before or after fending off the Chainsaw Sisters, get across the elevated platforms to the west, where the Wayshrine will await with the prize of an Elegant Headdress.
With all the valuables in possession, the next trip to the Merchant should yield plenty of Pesetas that can be put to good use upgrading favored weapons in the fight against the infected.
