Now that the first game in theRed Dead Redemptionseries is finally getting a port on modern consoles, players who missed out on this masterpiece will finally be able to enjoy this gem of a title for themselves! The game is full to the brim with a ton of things that players can experiment with, which includes the various outfits that Marston can wear in the game world after completing certain tasks and activities. These outfits have unique benefits of their own and look downright cool to boot!
7Elegant Suit
There are many side activities that players can engage with in the game world if they wish to earn a lot of money on the sidein between the many main missions ofRed Dead Redemption. One such act involves playing poker at a table and trying to win as many hands as possible.
Players who buy the Elegant Suit from the tailor in Thieves' Landing can cheat while playing on most tables without any issues. However, the effectiveness of this suit is hampered by the fact that players can’t wear it for the high-stakes table, which is a shame for players who want to maximize the efficiency of their illicit poker winnings.

6Bureau Uniform
The Bureau Uniform looks pretty cool, which makes it a shame that players won’t get it until the very end of the game as long as they’ve achieved 75% completion. As a result, only Jack Marston can wear this outfit, which can rub some people the wrong way.

Regardless, there’s something great about wearing this good-looking outfit and seeing lawmen not really care about the player’s actions all that much. It’s a simple benefit, but a critical one in a game where law enforcement can quickly hunt the player down if they do something remotely illegal.
5US Marshal Uniform
Another uniform that allows the player to blend in with the law is the US Marshal outfit, which can also only be worn by Jack Marston during the post-game. Both these garbs have pretty much the same benefits, meaning that they’re pretty interchangeablewhen it comes to their usefulness inRed Dead Redemption.
However, getting this uniform mandates the completion of a task that is way more complicated than just getting a set completion percentage. Players have to head to all five gang hideouts in the game and take them out within 24 in-game hours to get this outfit, which can make for a rather hectic time as players maximize their time and try to clear out these hideouts as quickly as they possibly can.

4Expert Hunter
Netting the Expert Hunter outfit is easier said than done, with players having to complete five challenges that can be pretty tough in their own right. However, the reward for completing these tasks is completely worth it for players who want to maximize the rewards they get for hunting the many animals in the game.
Wearing the Expert Hunter outfit allows the player to net double the rewards for hunting and skinning animals, letting them amass a small fortune once they cash in all their hunting goodies. It helps thatMarston looks pretty great while wearing this outfit, even if this look can get somewhat goofy and tiring after a point.

3Savvy Merchant
Players whohate the economy ofRed Dead Redemptionand don’t want to think too much before making a single purchase will love the Savvy Merchant outfit quite a bit. This outfit also requires that players complete a total of five challenges, although some people argue that these are still easier than the requirements for other such outfits in the game.

Not only does the Savvy Merchant outfit give Marston a new look that fans will dig, but it also lets players enjoy a much-needed discount at gunsmith stores. This allows players to hoard their cash and use it in other avenues without having to think twice about Marston’s current ammunition supply and the like.
2Deadly Assassin
Dead Eye is one of the most useful skills that players can employ in the game to take out their foes with ease. Time essentially slows down as the players pick and choose their targets with ease before peppering them with a hail of bullets that takes out multiple foes in the most cinematic manner possible.
Players who want to use this mechanic as much as possible will love the Deadly Assassin outfit, which allows players to regenerate their Dead Eye meter twice as fast during combat. Suffice it to say, players who want to make gunfights as satisfying as possibleshould get around to accomplishing the five challenges required to get this outfit as quickly as possible.

1Legend Of The West
The Legend of the West is easily the best outfit in the entire game, letting players enjoy the benefits of a Dead Eye meter that is doubled and lets them rain hellfire on their foes by using this mechanic without worrying about the meter running out. However, it’s the act of getting this outfit that can be quite taxing on the player.
There are four challenges with ranks of their own in the game that players can choose to max out if they wish — Sharpshooter, Survivalist, Master Hunter, and Treasure Hunter. Players who want the Legend of the West outfit need to get the highest rank in all these challenges, which is obviously easier said than done.

Red Dead Redemptionis currently available on PS3 and Xbox 360. It’s scheduled to release on the Nintendo Switch and PS4 on Jun 15, 2025.
