How To Get Candies
The easiest way to obtain candies for a certain Pokemon is byputting them on the Helper Team. Players need to click on the Pokemon option in the bottom left corner, after which they need to select the Edit Team option. Players can choose up to five Pokemon for their Helper Team, which will gather berries and ingredients. Once the desired Pokemon have been set, they will spawn on the main screen.
All these Pokemon have a chance of gathering two candies. There is no set time for the action, but players will know when the Pokemon have picked up the candies. The Pokemon that has foraged candies will have a candy icon over its head, which can be seen in the picture below.
Using Research Community
Another free and effortless method to get candies isby using the Research Community. Players can add up to 50 friends, and these spots should be filled as quickly as possible. Every day, players share Research Updates which increases Closeness. Once players hit Closeness Level 1, they receive Handy Candy S x1. If they manage to reach Closeness Level 5, they will get Handy Candy S x2.
Players will also get 1 candy from their friends, which depends on their sleep session and the Pokemon that was the focus of the research.
Sending Pokemon To Professor Neroli
Many players do not know that sending a Pokemon to Professor Neroli not only opens up box space but also gives five candies of that specific Pokemon. However, it is important to remember that players will not get a Pokemon back once it issent to Professor Neroli. To transfer a Pokemon, players need to head to the Pokemon Box, select the desired one, and click on the button in the bottom right corner. This will bring up the option to either use an item on the Pokemon or send it to the professor.
Other Methods
Players can also get Handy Candies after discovering a certain number of Sleep Styles. They canalso purchase Handy Candy Sfrom Regular Exchange for 160 Sleep Points. Handy Candy M is available in the Premium Exchange for 500 Sleep Points.
There is Handy Candy L in the game, which is given as a reward for subscribing to the Premium Pass for three consecutive months.
Handy Candy S gives 3 candies for a specific Pokemon, while Handy Candy M gives 20 candies. Currently, it is unknown how many Pokemon candies players can get from Handy Candy L.
Sometimes players may receive Handy Candy as gifts from the developers.
