Thanks to the recent update toPokemon HOME, trainers can now transfer Pokemon from theirPokemon Legends: ArceusandPokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearlsave files. With more compatible games added toPokemon HOME, it’s best for players to knowhow to release Pokemon in massso that they’re not clicking one Pokemon at a time.
to usePokemon HOME, a Nintendo Account needs to be linked. There’s an option to choose between the Basic Plan and the Premium Plan upon signing up. A full year of the Premium Plan is $15.99. If players just need one box (i.e: 30 Pokemon) and arenot transferring fromPokemon Bank, then they can stick to the Basic Plan. Fortunately for some, releasing a Pokemon can be done without the Premium Plan.

How to Release Pokemon on Switch
On the Nintendo Switch, it’s possible to choose between differentPokemonfiles and access their storage system inPokemon HOME. As of right now, the following games are compatible withHOME:
Select a User to switch between different files/PCs. There will be two storage boxes visible:Pokemon HOME’s Box, and thePokemongame of the player’s choosing (ex:Brilliant Diamond, Sword). If players don’t have the Premium Plan,they’ll only haveone PC BoxforHOME.

How to Release Pokemon on Mobile
In order forPokemon HOMEto work on mobile, players need tolink their Nintendo Account. Log in to the Nintendo Account onPokemon HOME, and make sure the Support ID number on the mobile version matches with the ID number onPokemon HOME’stitle screen on the Switch. This ID is displayed in the top-left corner.
With this finished, players can access their storage box inPokemon HOME,but not otherPokemongames. Meaning if players are trying to release Pokemon fromLegends: Arceus, they’ll have to do so on the Switch version instead.
