Pokemon GOtrainers are finally just a few short days away from the culminating event of the Season of Heritage.GO Tour Johto is a massive one-day eventthat features some very exciting opportunities and will help players wrap up the Johto portion of their Pokedex.

Although there have been a few GO Tour events inPokemon GOat this point, the events can still be a little confusing. Theglobal festivity offers a ticketed experiencethat gives players who are willing to drop some real world money a handful of additional bonuses and features. That said, there are still plenty of activities for non-ticketed trainers to participate in, as well.

Thedifference between ticketed and non-ticketed featuresand bonuses can get confusing pretty quickly. There are collection challenges, special research opportunties, and various spawns and bonuses to keep track of throughout the short (but massive) event. Luckily, we have a full list of the two different categories available here ahead of time, so trainers can plan ahead and decide if the ticket is worth the price of entry, given their particular goals for the coming weekend…

Ticketed Features

Celebi Research

You’ll be able to complete event-exclusive Special Research, leading to an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon, Celebi. Make sure to catch Celebi during the event for a special move.

Masterwork Research

Once you complete the Special Research line, you’ll be able to access a second exclusive Masterwork Research story, intended to be worked on over a long period of time. This will test your skills as a Trainer

Collection Challenges

Earn rewards and level up your Elite Collector medal by completing nine Collection Challenges! Trainers will need to catch specific Pokemon according to a theme in a limited timeframe to complete these challenges.

Additional Bonuses

Features and Bonuses For Everyone

The following features will be available to all Trainers during the event, regardless of whether they purchase a ticket.

That intel should give trainers just about everything they need to know to decide if a ticket is worth the price for their own goals. Trainers will want to determine how highly they value shiny Pokemon and how close they are to a complete Johto dex. In the week ahead, we should learn more about what other events will be arriving during thefinal days of the Season of Heritage. Be sure to check back in the near future for morePokemon GOstrategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
