ManyPokemon Gofans are calling for a major change to the mobile game after some have been left feeling a little cheated by the most recent event to catch the legendary Regidrago.Regidrago was once again available as an Elite Raid, one of the most challenging ways to catch a Pokemon in the game.

Niantic’s smash hitPokemon GOwas hit with drama a few months ago over the bugginess of the first Elite Raid event that gave players an opportunity to catch Galar’s Regidrago. Fans were reporting crashes all over the world and every social media outlet surrounding the game was flooded with complaints and outrage. The end result was that very few players were actually fortunate enough to catch the mythical Regidrago. To make up for the messy situation surrounding that event, Niantic announced another Elite Raid event to catch the same Pokemon, but many players still aren’t happy.

All of the social media surroundingPokemon GOis once again filled with complaints of players who were unable to obtain Regidrago in the most recent event. This time, the reason isn’t crashes or bugs, but it’s just the frustrating process of actually catching something in an Elite Raid, even when everything is functioning properly. Many players are calling for Elite Raids to have 100% catch rates as they accuseNiantic of caring more about its other projectsthanPokemon GO.

The problem is that Pokemon in Elite Raids typically have very low catch raids. Players are mandated to participate in Elite Raids in person and each one is given a certain number of balls after beating the Pokemon to attempt to catch it. Any player that doesn’t manage to get lucky on a throw against Regidrago, or the other recentPokemon GOElite Raid event Regieleki, even after coming out in person and struggling to beat the foe, whose CP typically exceeds 30 thousand, is just left out of the actual rewards of the raid. Going through that whole process of participation and having nothing to show for it despite succeeding in the raid itself doesn’t sit right with many players.

The popular mobile game has been experiencing a plethora of controversies in recent months. The technical issues surrounding the Regidrago Raid are just some of the problems that have resulted in many former fans saying they’re putting down the game forever. The result isPokemon GOhitting its lowest revenue in five years. It’s clear that the game is in need of some fixes to bring in new players and to reattract some of those who are sick of playing in its current state. Whether those changes are coming depends on Niantic and The Pokemon Company.
