Ever since the very firstPokemongames, Eevee has stood out as something special. While Eevee’s adorable design has a lot to do with its popularity, it also caughtPokemonfan’s attention because of the unique way it evolves. Unlike Pokemon that have linear evolution paths, Eevee can evolve into a variety of Pokemon of different types, as long as specific conditions are met. These Eevee evolutions have been affectionately dubbed “Eeveelutions” by fans, and it’s always exciting when newPokemongames come out to see if Eevee is set to get yet another form.
The last time that Game Freak and Nintendo introduced a new Eevee evolution to thePokemonseries was withPokemon X and Y, which saw the debut offairy-type Eeveevlution Sylveon. While no new Eeveelutions were introduced withPokemon Sun and MoonorPokemon Sword and Shield, there’s always a chance that the upcomingPokemon Scarlet and Violetwill give fans new Eevee forms to add to their collection.

Over the years,Pokemonfans have created fan art designing their own takes on Eevee evolutions for the types that have yet to be represented. Various artists have tried their hand at designing a ghost-type Eevee evolution over the years, with one recent take on it getting over 6,000 upvotes on Reddit. Reddit user Igrisa designed their own take on anEevee ghost-type evolution, which they named Reveneon. In the drawing, Reveneon’s ribs are showing, and it has wrappings that look like they belong on an Egyptian mummy. Igrisa included a description that explained “No food can satisfy its eternal hunger.” Some have taken this to suggest that this Reveneon is the result of an Eevee being starved to death, but Igrisa stated in the comments that they didn’t think about how one would actually go about making an Eevee evolve into a Reveneon.
Reddit user Netherboom chimed in with a suggestion to expand on Reveneon’s Pokedex entry. They suggested that the “first Eevee that evolved into this was rumored to be abandoned by its trainer” and left to starve. However, according to Netherboom’s suggestion, this caused theEeveeto evolve to a form where it didn’t need food to survive, “but will remain in a famished state.”
This isn’t the first time that someone has designed a ghost-type form for Eevee, and it won’t be the last. OtherPokemon types that have yet to receive Eevee evolutionswill continue to get their own fan interpretations as well until official designs are made.
