There aren’t too many points inPokemon Brilliant Diamond&Shining Pearlwhen players find the path ahead of them blocked. When it does happen, however,it can sometimes be a little confusing. This is because, unbeknownst to players, there are several points throughout the games when players are presented with an obstacle that can’t actually be overcome until much later on.

One such instance can be found in Veilstone City, where a locked door at the Team Galactic Warehouse can haveBrilliant Diamond&Shining Pearlplayers searching for a key that doesn’t yet exist. This is because they’re not supposed to head through this door until much later on in the story, though, as with similar obstacles, the games don’t really make this all that clear.
How to Get into the Team Galactic Warehouse
There are actually two points in the story where players will need to get inside the Team Galactic Warehouse, the first of which comes after players havebeaten Maylene at the Veilstone City gym. Upon leaving the gym, Dawn will approach the player and reveal that a couple of Team Galactic Grunts have taken her Pokedex and ask for the player’s help getting it back.
From here, players will need to head over to the warehouse in the northwest part of Veilstone City and team up with Dawn to defeat the two grunts. After doing so, they’ll be able able to head inside the warehouse by heading up the stairs to their right and walking through the door. Inside, they’llfind the Fly HM, which will allow them to instantly travel to any town or city that they’ve already visited from either the Town Map menu or their Poketch screen.
The locked door inside the warehouse cannot be opened at this time, however, as players won’t be able to get their hands on the key needed to unlock it until much later on in the story. To be more precise, they’ll find the key by making their way to the Team Galactic Headquarters in Veilstone City after exploring Sinnoh’s three great lakes. Upon their arrival, a grunt will run away and drop theStorage Keyas they flee.
Only after players have picked up the Storage Key will they be able to open the door inside the warehouse. Doing so will enable them to explore the basement beneath Team Galactic’s headquarters, where they’ll be able to find the Galactic Key that’s needed to open up the locked doors inside the main HQ. By doing so, players will be able tofind a Master Ballas well as some other great items.
