Toyotaro’s — or Toyble, as he was known at the time — version ofDragon Ball AFstarts off with the introduction of two new villains, Xicor and the West Supreme Kai. The latter’s presence feels rather odd, given the events ofDragon Ball Z.
After all,Kid Buu had gone on a rampageand killed most of the gods in heaven, including the West Supreme Kai. How did she come back and hatch this nefarious plot out of nowhere?

During the events of the manga, it’s revealed thatGohan has managed to reach the level of a Super Saiyan 4. This comes as a welcome shock… albeit a rather illogical one.

InDragon Ball GT, Bulma’s Blutz Waves device allowed Vegeta to attain this transformation. However, theDragon Ball AFmanga doesn’t show this development at all and lets both tailless Saiyans reach the level of a Super Saiyan 4 with ease.
6Why Was Broly Specifically Chosen To Be Revived?
In a bid to bring Goku back to life, it was stated that the power of multiple Saiyans needed to be present for the same. However, the Z Warriors lacked one Saiyan, sothey decided to revive Brolyto fill this deficit.
This seems like a foolhardy decision since various other Saiyans with better hearts or weaker powers could’ve been revived for the same. Why was Broly the only candidate here?
5Will Broly Become The Latest Member Of The Z Warriors?
After Broly is revived, he finds out about the peaceful lives that Saiyans are living on Earth. This causes his rage and jealousy to take over, as he wishes for a normal life of his own too.
Unfortunately, before this side of Broly’s character is explored, Toyble’sDragon Ball AFreached its premature end. Readers can only wonder whether Broly’s character arc would take on the shape of something along the lines of his re-emergence inDragon Ball Super.
4Is Goku Ever Going To Come Back To Earth?
Given howDragon Ball GTshowed Goku going away and leaving the Z Warriors to take care of the planet, it doesn’t make sense to bring him back once again. However, Toyble’sDragon Ball AFhas toyed around with the idea of bringingthis legendary Saiyan back.
Once again, the manga ended before this plot thread could be explored. As a result, Broly’s presence in the story will largely remain a mystery.
3Who Is Ize’s Mother?
Young Jijii is another artist who has released a longer-running version ofDragon Ball AF. This manga starts off with the introduction of Ize, who is revealed to be none other than Frieza’s son!

The latest arc of Young Jijii’sDragon Ball AFdeals with another intergalactic threat that is roaming around the universe in search of bigger and grander combat challenges. This person is Spoitz and is one of the most powerful warriors Goku and Vegeta have faced.
However, the origin of this villain is yet to be seen in the manga. Until later chapters shine a light on this development, people will never find out what Spoitz' motivations really are.
1Will Goku Take Center-Stage In Young Jijii’s Universe Once Again?
Unlike Toyble’s version ofDragon Ball AF, Young Jijii wasted no time in bringing Goku back to the fold. However, other Saiyans weren’t exactly relegated to the sidelines, withGohan and Vegeta also receiving their time in the spotlight.
Until the manga progresses, people will have no idea as to whether Goku will become the main character once again. He already plays a pretty major role, so maybe that’s a sign of the things to come.
