PlayStationcharacters are getting a new line of collectibles in Funko’s latest Pop Vinyl range, which turns characters into tiny collectible figures. Funko unveiled that its next collaboration with PlayStation would release five new Pop figures based on some of the most iconic characters in PlayStation games.
For those unaware,Funko’s Pop Vinyls are insanely popularand sometimes notoriously difficult to acquire. The company has created Pop figures for nearly every popular IP imaginable but there are still plenty of franchises that fans are hoping for the company to adapt. Funko teamed up with PlayStation earlier in the year for a first wave of iconicPlayStationcharacters which featured the likes of Kratos fromGod of War,The Hunter fromBloodborne,and Jin fromGhost of Tsushima.

In the next Pop Vinyl lineup, four new PlayStation series are getting exclusive Pop figurines. Sam BridgesfromDeath Stranding, Joel fromThe Last of Us, Sweet Tooth fromTwisted Metaland aRatchet & Clankdouble-pack are all part of the new release. This new range of Pop figures are exclusive to GameStop and are available for pre-order now. Sam and Joel are priced at $11.99 each while theRatchet and Clankpack is $22.99 and theTwisted Metalpop is $29.99 due to its large size. Each have different expected delivery dates sometime in September or October 2020.
The new PlayStation figures all look like worthy additions to any player’s collection. Sam Bridges' figurine is incredibly detailed all the way down to the BB on his chest and Sweet Tooth’s figure comes with him riding in his iconic ice cream truck. It’s also worth noting that this version of Joel is different to the previous editions of the character that havebeen released inThe Last of Uspop vinyl range.
This isn’t the first instance ofPop figurines being created for video games. PS4’sSpider-Manhad its own range released back in 2018 as have other iconic characters such as Geralt fromThe Witcher, Spyro, and Crash Bandicoot. These characters however are part of the branded PlayStation line from Funko, meaning the boxes will display the PlayStation logo as opposed to the individual franchise logos for each character.
The Ratchet and Clank double pack will be a particularly popular addition with the new gameRatchet & Clank: Rift Apartcoming to PS5 soon. More gaming Pop Vinyls are also expected to be on the way with a partnership being announced betweenFunko and Ubisoft, which will bring characters from the studio’s hit games such asAssassin’s CreedandRainbow Six Siege.
