AnOverwatch 2player shares a video of them going through all of Orisa’s new Legendary skins and notices that her javelin is the default look. The javelin is default regardless of if they are on anOverwatchorOverwatch 2skin.

Orisa’s new javelin has been a fun addition to a Tank that has been much maligned for her static play.Orisa’s javelin offers both offensive and defensive utilityand is also a part of her new ultimate ability. The javelin is mostly spinning wildly or being thrown at an enemy, so allies and enemies won’t really get a good look at it during a match unless they are being pierced by it. But it can be assumed that because of all the skin variations thatOverwatchhas, there would be thematic changes to Orisa’s javelin as well. Unfortunately, oneOverwatchplayer noticed that the opposite is the case.

Orisa’s javelin inOverwatch 2all have the default rendersassigned to all of her skins, regardless if they were fromOverwatchorOverwatch 2. Redditor TMDan92 shared a video on r/Overwatch of them going through Orisa’s skins and weapons and every skin, regardless of rarity, had a default javelin assigned. There also is no gold weapon for Orisa’s javelin. This is especially disappointing sinceOverwatch 2skins are more expensive but as of right now, are a bit unfinished. Other characters have their skin-specific weapon variants assigned in-game, so this looks to be a bug or an intentionally missing asset issue exclusive to Orisa.

The game itself is unfinished. Thebeleaguered launch ofOverwatch 2in early October is the Early Access release, a distinction that is oft forgotten when defending or attacking all the issues affecting the game in its early days. Still, with all the added detail that has been shown off if the lead-up to early access release, having no alternate javelin designs in the game feels bad. Especially when the game demands more time or money for skins, but these skins are still work-in-progress.

Overwatchplayers can only hope that this was an oversight that had to go on the back burner whileBlizzard addresses the otherOverwatch 2gameplay and account issues. Many of those issues have either been solved or are aggressively being worked on, and they will likely get to putting in Orisa’s javelin variants. Hopefully soon, because there are a lot of potentially cool design ideas with many of her skins.

Overwatch 2is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
