Headlining the sale is the 1996 titleResident Evil, which is the game that started it all.Resident Evilis available at the PlayStation Store for an extremely cheap price of $1.99, which is 80% off its current list price of $9.99. The game has since been remade for the GameCube in 2002, and that version was thenremastered for the PlayStation 4 in 2015.Resident Evilportrayed the events of the infamous Mansion Incident, where series veterans Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine stumbled upon the Spencer Mansion, which houses an underground laboratory that is owned and operated by the Umbrella Corporation.

Last year, Capcom released the highly-anticipated remake ofResident Evil 2, which proved to be a massive success afterthe remake outsold the original game.
Finally, Capcom is offeringResident Evil 3, which serves as a direct follow up toResident Evil 2. The events ofResident Evil 3takes place before and after its predecessor and saw the return of Jill Valentine as she once again faces the horrific creatures she thought she left behind in the Spencer Mansion. The game is available for $2.09, which is 80% cheaper than its current price of $5.99. On July 31, 2025, Capcom is set to releasethe highly-anticipated remake ofResident Evil 3, which will introduce an even more terrifying version of Nemesis.
Meanwhile, Sony’s Remasters and Retro sale is also offering other Capcom games outside theResident Evilseries. Most notably, the first twoDino Crisisgames, which were also released on the original PlayStation, are currently discounted to a price of $2.09 each. For several years now,rumors about aDino Crisisremakecontinues to surface online, only for nothing to materialize.
