One of the Four Emperors of the Sea, Shanks is an incredibly powerful pirate inOne Piecewho has done some incredible things over the years. Fans know Shanks to be one of the strongest characters that Oda has written into his story, and at the same time, he is also known to be a master of Haki.
In fact, his control over Haki is absolutely immense, and over the years, even though he hasn’t utilized his full power, he has already produced some of the most amazing Haki feats that have left the fans speechless.
6Split The Skies With Whitebeard
Arc: Post Enies Lobby
One of the most incredible but basic Haki feats that Shanks has displayed inOne Pieceis being able to split the skies with another Emperor. This is very impressive and was especially impressive when it first happened.
However, it is not all that special, given that any emperor-level fighter can do this by clashing with another on a similar level. When Shanks and Whitebeard were engaged in conversation, the two ended up clashing and Shanks used his Gryphon to block the Murakumogiri, leading to the heavens being split apart in the sky.
5Could Sense Green Bull From Miles Away
Arc: Wano Country
In the Wano Country Arc, Shanks were seen on the lookout for Blackbeard towards the end of the war. Around this time, Admiral Green Bull entered the land of Wano illegally. Of course, Shanks did not find Blackbeard anywhere around Wano, however, he could detect Green Bull using his Observation Haki.
Shanks sensed him when no other member of his crew was able to do so. This goes to show that Shanks is an amazing user of Observation Haki and that he could even use this ability from miles away.
4Used Conqueror’s Haki From Miles Away
Just like Shanks used his Observation Haki from miles away,his control over Conqueror’s Hakiis such that he can utilize this power from miles away as well. Shanks sent a bolt of Conqueror’s Haki from the seas to the mainland of Wano, where it hit Admiral Green Bull and completely paralyzed him.
This ability caused tremendous pain to Green Bull and forced him to retreat. It even forced him out of his Woodsman form, which is nothing short of extraordinary. To make this ability even more bizarre, Shanks was somehow able to communicate using his Haki from miles away and this has never been seen in the story before.
3Could See Over 10 Seconds Of The Future
Shanks is exceptionally good at using Observation Haki.In fact, he can utilize advanced versions of this ability as well, such as the power to see the future itself. Shanks was able to demonstrate this power when he engaged the Kid Pirates in combat.
He was able to see over 10 seconds of the future and this isn’t even the limit of his Future Sight Observation Haki. Fans have seen many users of this power in the story before, however, none can do it for as long as Shanks, at least for now.
2Can Kill Observation Haki And Future Sight

One of the most incredible powers that Shanks possessesis the ability to kill the Observation Haki of his enemies. Shanks can essentially prevent all his enemies from seeing the future or potentially even prevent them from using Observation Haki at all. He can do this using his own Conqueror’s Haki, using which he makes his presence such thathis opponents cannot make use of their own Haki.
This overpowered ability has not been explained in One Piece as of yet and it will take some time for it to be put under focus. Regardless, it is one of the most incredible Haki feats that anyone can produce in the story.
1Defeated Kid And Killer With A Single Attack
Quite clearly, the biggest Haki feat that Shanks has produced inOne Pieceisdefeating Kid and Killer with a single swing of his sword.This is especially impressive since Kid has a boundary of 3 billion berries while Killer, his right-hand man, is not a pushover either.
Most notably, Kid and Killer were able to take several attacks from Big Mom and even fight against Kaido. Despite all that, these two remained standing and that just displayed their resilience even further. Yet, in the battle against Shanks, they were completely helpless. A single Conqueror’s Haki-infused strike from Shanks was enough to completely defeat both of them and destroy a big portion of their pirate crew. What’s even more surprising is the fact that this isn’t even the extent of Shanks’s abilities. While Shanks was certainly not holding back tremendously when he did this, the fact is that he certainly does have stronger abilities up his sleeve, and despite not using them, he was able to produce something to this devastating effect.
