The graphics card, and general tech, market is still in a bit of turmoil after more than a year of shortages and hiked MSRPs from the likes of eBay listings. Many have been struggling to get hold of newNvidiaor AMD hardware pretty much for the entirety of this generation. With low supplies leading to thenewly-released RTX 3050 being sold out immediately, things are not yet looking up. On top of that, “team green” has been looking to launch its 3090 Ti, a somewhat improved version of the already quite beefy 3090. However, it seems as though the company wishes to remain silent on its whereabouts.

According to a statement from The Verge, a spokesperson forNvidiahas said that there is currently no more information the tech giant is willing to share about the RTX 3090 Ti just yet. Given that the card was speculated to be launched towards the end of January, though this was never officially confirmed, this led many to theorize that there may be problems with its development or release. Some sources have reported that, not long after the announcement, production of the GPU halted. However, it’s still interesting that nothing’s being said about it.

With theRTX 3090 Ti being spoken about since last December, it does seem a little unusual that Nvidia is not prepared to say any more about what’s going on with it. The fact that a supposed box for the card was leaked, and that prices of it have been spotted in parts of Germany, seemed to point to the idea that it was almost ready for launch, but it looks as though something has gone wrong along the way, though nothing’s been mentioned.

With the likes ofAMD recently announcing its RDNA 3 range, and the Nvidia 4000 series supposedly ready to go in the middle of this year, the industry is looking to move into the next generation of GPU tech. This means that, two months into the year, team green not saying anything about what could be an admittedly expensive showstopper for this generation does seem a little off.

Of course,Nvidiais not the only one who is experiencing delays. The upcomingIntel Arc will also likely miss its Q1 2022 window, launching this summer at the latest instead. The shortages have indeed hit the market pretty hard, but hopefully someone will come forward from Huang’s company and give some information about the whereabouts of the RTX 3090 Ti.
