To make theirNew Pokemon Snapgameplay experience a bit more immersive, YouTuber BigRigCreates produced a custom controller that looks and has several functions similar to a real-life camera. Complaining about The Pokemon Company missing out on releasing thephotography game on the Wii U, BigRigCreates took it upon themselves to fabricate a controller that makes use of the Nintendo Switch’s gyro functions to move the view around, and even allows players to zoom in and out while playing.

To make the custom controller, the YouTuber used a 3D printer and based their design from model blueprints inspired by theNintendo Labo VR kits. The creator did mention that they did not discover the perfect way to playNew Pokemon Snap, however, they were able to provide a unique device that other fans can explore and look into. Many comments on YouTube seemed to show ecstatic responses to the 3D creation, while others said that the game would be perfect in VR. Some were even hopeful thatNew Pokemon Snapwould be made compatible with Nintendo Labo in the future.
