A new DLC pack, titled Howling Peaks, was just announced forMinecraft Dungeonsduring today’s Minecraft Live event. Howling Peaks is bringing in a bevy of new missions, items, and enemies, as well as a rather intimidate boss fight. Plus, the Howling Peaks DLC will be accompanied by a free update for more added fun.
TheMinecraft DungeonsHowling Peaks DLC will be the latest update for the game following the successfulCreeping Winterand Jungle Awkakens DLC packs. Players will fight their way through new mobs of enemies, such as Ravagers and Wind Callers, attempting to reach and slay the frightening new boss, the Tempest Golem, who creates a storm of howling winds high up on the mountain tops. As players climb the mountains, the newly added wind mechanic will pus them around and make movement a little more challenging. The Howling Peaks DLC forMinecraft Dungeonswill release in December.

Along with the Howling Peaks DLC forMinecraft Dungeons, players can look forward to a free update that will introduce “Apocolypse Plus.” Apocolypse Plus is a set of 20 new difficulties available after Apocalypse VII for players to test their skills. This new harrowing challenge will also increase thepower ceiling for the player’s characters inMinecraft Dungeonsand bring in new enchantments as well as new items.
Fans got their first look at the Howling Peaks DLC during the Minecraft Live presentation and while the new gameplay is exciting, the demo had an interesting twist. The Howling Peaks demo was being played via cross-platform multiplayer featuring the Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4, and Switch. This is the first look players have had at the newly announced cross-platform update forMinecraft Dungeons, an update that will be free to all players in the near future.
Thesenew updates forMinecraft Dungeonsshould excite all fans as there was some concern that the latest DLC, Creeping Winter, was thought to be the last update for the game. Now, after today’s announcements, fans have a ton of new updates and content to look forward to as Mojang seems to have tons of plans for the stylized dungeon crawler.
