With high-detail figures centred around comic book, movie, and video game properties becoming hugely sought out collector’s items over the years, it seems more and more companies are looking to cash in on the encroaching trend. From Hot Toys' array of shockingly authentic superhero figurines toNendoroid’s recentThe Last of Us 2Ellie figure, it’s clear these detailed, beautifully crafted figures are becoming more popular than ever before.

Yet, a new system fromHasbrolooks to find a new way to give collector’s exactly what they want when it comes to purchasing high-detail figurines, with the company’s recently announced “HasLab” platform allowing users to crowdfund a number of incredible large-scale projects. The first of HasLab offerings has just been revealed as well, with a towering recreation of the X-Men’s Sentinel taking centre stage.

The new figure looks to show off exactly what this newcrowd-fundingscheme will be all about, with the collector’s item standing at 26-inches tall and designed to be in-scale with the company’s Marvel Legends line. For context, other figures in the set stand at around 6-inches tall, meaning the Sentinel will well and truly boast the same colossal size as its comic book counterpart. That’s not all though. The figure will also have a whopping 72 points of articulation, 20 of which are in its hands alone, while it will also come equipped with a tentacle accessory that clocks in at 18-inches.

The collector’s item will retail for a fairly hefty $349.99, but those who purchase will also bag themselves a free 6-inch Bastion figure as well. As for how the figure will be crowd-funded, the system works a little differently to the likes of Kickstarter or Indiegogo. Instead, fans merely need to pre-order themselves one of these strikingX-Menfigures like they would any other. If 6,000 fans decide to opt-in and grab themselves a Sentinel, then the project will be officially greenlit and production will be underway.

Hopefully, this incredible Sentinel replica will manage to get the funding it needs to be greenlit, not only for X-Men fans but also because HasLab seems like a forward-thinking system that lets fans have a say in what they want as collectors. As for theX-Menfranchise itself, it seems as though the films are currently making waves over on Disney Plus.Days of Future Pastrecently made the jump to the streaming platform, whileX-Men: Apocalypsewill be following suit next week.
