Long before the Soulslike genre had become the hottest new thing, 2014’sLords of the Fallenhit store shelves. Though the game received a solid critical reception, it was viewed mostly as just a lacklusterDark Soulsclone, lacking a core identity of its own. Flash forward almost a decade andLords of the Fallenis about to make its, hopefully, triumphant comeback.
First announced during Gamescom 2022,Lords of the Fallenis a complete reboot of the series, leaving much of the original game’s concepts behind in favor of a more unique take on the fantasy Soulslike genre. While October is an incredibly busy month for the video game industry, with huge titles likeMarvel’s Spider-Man 2,Super Mario Bros. Wonder, andAlan Wake 2all dropping within a week of each other,Lords of the Fallendoes offer a fairly unique experience, and its October 13 release date does put it before those other titles. And if fans are willing to take the plunge, they may want to go all the way and invest inLords of the Fallen’s impressive Collector’s Edition.

Everything Fans Get For Pre-Ordering Lords of the Fallen’s Collector’s Edition
Fans can currently pre-order three different versions ofLords of the Fallen. The first of these is the standard edition of the game, coming with just the base game itself, as expected. The second version ofLords of the Fallenis the deluxe edition. For just an extra $10, the deluxe edition ofLords of the Fallengives players immediate access tothe Dark Crusader character class, which itself comes with a unique armor set, starting longsword, pendant, and explosive items.Lords of the Fallen’s Deluxe Edition also comes with a digital artbook, showcasing some concept art and character designs, along with a digital soundtrack, and a 3D model viewer.
But if fans want to get really serious aboutLords of the Fallen, then that’s where the game’s collector’s edition comes in. Retailing for a hefty $250,Lords of the Fallen’s Collector’s Editioncomes with all the digital content included in the deluxe edition of the game, along with a handful of physical goodies. Of course, the main selling point ofLords of the Fallen’s Collector’s Edition is the 19cm figurine, depicting the Dark Crusader starting class striking an action pose.Lords of the Fallen’s promotional art claims that this figurine is also “hand painted,” which would give this edition a much more collectible feel.
A few other physical goodies are packaged in withLords of the Fallen’s Collector’s Edition. The digital edition’s virtual artbook is swapped out for a 100-page hardcover version. A double-sided poster and set of art cards are also included in this edition of the game, along with an exclusive steelbook sporting a dark background and red symbol, as opposed to the regular cover’s blue backdrop and logo. The case this all comes packaged in is also a collector’s item in and of itself, turning into a metal display case for the Dark Crusader figurine that has an LED light.
For pre-orderingLords of the Fallen, fans will get at least one guaranteed reward. Pre-ordering any version ofLords of the Fallenfrom any retailer will give players a set of exclusive armor tincts which turn the player’s armor bronze, silver, or gold. Five HP items, five MP items, and three XP items are also given to anyone who pre-orders any version of the game. If playerspre-orderLords of the Fallenfrom GameStopthen they’ll also receive a replica Lamplighter Pendant, and if players pre-order from Best Buy, they’ll get an exclusive steelbook case.
