In a world predominantly filled with pirates and other criminals, it is hard to find people who are kind and just. To make things worse, even the Marines and the World Government have heinous characters among their ranks who are looking to harm people.
However, there are certain characters inOne Piecewho are selfless and willing to compromise their own dreams for others. They tend to help the people around them, even if that means putting their bodies at risk. For this reason alone, they deserve to be called the kindest characters inOne Piece.
6Monkey D. Luffy
Has Helped Many Nations
Monkey D. Luffy is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates. He has managed to achieve many incredible feats on his journey, which includebeating the likes ofKaido, Katakuri, and Doflamingo. Luffy is a strong-willed person who refuses to back down from any challenge, no matter how tough it may seem.
Luffy may be selfish at times, but he has a heart of pure gold. He has helped many people who were tortured by oppressive individuals. For instance, he was ready to take down Doflamingo after Rebecca shared her lunch with him. His motivation to take down Kaido grew stronger when he learned how O-Tama had to scavenge for clean food and water. In general, he is ready to take on anyone who tries to hurt his friends.
5Koby
Risked His Life To Stop A War
Koby used to be a shy, weak person who was scared to speak up for himself. Over time, he has undergone many changes, both physically and mentally. Due to Garp’s rigorous training, Koby has become stronger and capable of fighting strong opponents such as the Blackbeard Pirates.
The best example of Koby’s mental growth is when he stood up to Akainu. The young Marine wanted to stop the excessive loss of lives in Marineford. While it may have been foolish, it took courage to stand up to someone like Akainu. On Amazon Lily, he tried to broker a treaty with Blackbeard, which would help both the Marines and pirates save their lives.
4O-Tama
Gave Up All Of Her Food
O-Tama was introducedin the Wano Country arc. She is a young girl who aspires to become a talented ninja. O-Tama possesses a Devil Fruit that allows her to create a dango from her cheeks. Any animal that consumes it obeys O-Tama.
When O-Tama took Luffy to her place, she gave him all the food that she had been saving. Luffy gobbled it all up quickly and even asked for seconds, as he didn’t know how O-Tama barely had enough to survive. In order to quench her thirst, O-Tama drank from a polluted water source, but she did not tell Luffy about it. The young girl showed compassion to a stranger and gave her the food that she had worked so hard to get. There is no doubt that she is among the kindest characters inOne Piece.
3Chopper
Saved Both Friends And Foes
Often mistaken as the pet of the Straw Hats, Chopper is actually the doctor of the crew. He ate the Hito Hito no Mi, which gave him the ability to talk and do other things like a human. Chopper wants to become a doctor who can cure every disease, and it is safe to say that he is on the right path.
Chopper is an extremely kind and generous character. He dislikes violence and tries to help everyone that he can. During the Onigashima raid, Chopper risked his own life tocreate a cure for Queen’s virus. With the cure, Chopper saved not just the lives of his friends but those of his enemies as well.
2Whitebeard
Took In Outcasts And Kept Thousands Safe
Whitebeard had the reputation of being the strongest pirate in the world. He was captain of the Whitebeard Pirates, and he led them on many great adventures. Everyone in the crew respected Whitebeard, and they were willing to lay down their lives to protect him.
The crew was different from the rest because of their harmony. Whitebeard took in people who were treated as outcasts by others. He showered them with love and affection and went to great lengths to keep them safe. Whitebeard called his crew members his “sons,” even though they were not related by blood. He took the son of his greatest rival and went to warwith the World Governmentto rescue him.
When Squard stabbed him, Whitebeard didn’t hurt him; instead, he hugged and forgave him. Aside from taking care of his crew, Whitebeard placed many islands under his protection. He even sent money to the people of Sphinx Island to help them. However, he never revealed that it was him sending the money. Needless to say, Whitebeard is easily one of the kindest characters inOne Piece.
1Sanji
Feeds The Hungry And Protects The Meek
Sanji is the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates. He joined the crew during the Baratie arc, and since then, he has stuck with them through some of the most difficult times. Sanji is an excellent fighter who canuse two types of Haki. Furthermore, his physical abilities are on a different level than most. Despite his strength, Sanji is far from rude.
Ever since he was a child, Sanji has done many kind acts. As a kid, he fed food to small animals. He cared about his ailing mother and tried to make new dishes to cheer her up. Sanji gave food to Gin when he was perfectly aware that he would hurt him. He has thrown himself in front of attacks for the sake of protecting others many times. In the Skypiea arc, he took Enel’s attack head-on to kick Usopp to safety. Sanji was ready to sacrifice himself instead of Zoro in Thriller Bark.
