In just a few new chapters, he has already said some interesting things that perfectly display his personality and motivations, which is especially emotional as the manga is slowly reaching its anticipated conclusion. Despite his “tough guy” façade, Megumi is actually a nice guy who knows how to read other people. That’s exactly why he said this to Satoru Gojo when discussingItadori’s fate. He knew that, even if the prospect of awakeningSukunawas dangerous, he would try his hardest to let his new friend live at the same time.

Megumi’s life hasn’t been easy, so he knows exactly howunfair and cruel the world can be. But it’s encouraging to hear that he still wants to help people out as much as possible. This was most likely an influence from the man who saved his life and trained him, Satoru Gojo.

Moments like these are what make Megumi Fushiguro such a likeable character because, even though he’s powerful, and he’s aware of it, he doesn’t let it go to his head. He’s aware of his flaws and his defeat against Sukuna reminded him that, if he gets stronger, he will be able to save more people, and even himself.

This is one of his most humorous quotes, which he says to Yuji Itadori whenfighting a very powerful curse, right after it was revealed that he was alive and that he had been hiding from his classmates for months. The threat of killing someone if they die again is hilarious at first, but there’s some depth to this quote.
This threat just confirms how seriously Megumi feels about his friends. Even though he’s fully aware of how dangerousJujutsu Societycan be, he can’t help but grow attached to those who fight alongside him. So he’s not going to let them go easily, even if he’s a tad intense when saying it out loud.

When Megumi first fought aFinger Bearercurse, he couldn’t do anything to it. But he had been getting stronger ever since. So, when he fought another curse of this kind, he knew exactly how to exceed his limits and manifest an incomplete form of his Domain Expansion, known asChimera Shadow Garden, in one of the series’ most amazing scenes.

Many times during the course of the story, Megumi said the words “With this treasure…” in the middle of a battle, yet he was always interrupted. This built intrigue among the audience, who were eager to see which Shikigami was so powerful that Megumi felt like he needed to use it when fighting against the strongest of enemies.
But theShibuya Arcfinally answered this question, and it did not disappoint.MahoragaisMegumi’s strongest Shikigami, to the point that not even he can fully control it. When Megumi recites this long and incredible incantation, he’s not only summoning a mighty creature, but he’s using his final ability. He’s going to extremes and basically sacrificing himself to save the world.

The Truth About Jujutsu Sorcerers
This is said to Yuji Itadori, when Megumi is trying to get him to return toJujutsu Highafterthe events of the Shibuya Arc. But his friend feels extremely guilty because of everything that happened, including when Sukuna forced him to kill a lot of innocent people. And this long yet impressive quote encapsulates Megumi Fushiguro’s character perfectly.
Despite his attitude, Megumi is a heroic sorcerer who wants to save everyone no matter what. However, he’s fully aware of how corrupt and unfair Jujutsu Society can be. They’re not heroes, and nobody can judge them if they fail to save people. But they also need to show how necessary they are for this society and to keep pushing forward, even if things get even worse. This concludes with Megumi asking Itadori for help to enter theCulling Games. And thankfully, these words were of great help to his good friend.

Megumi Fushiguro’s body was taken over by Ryomen Sukuna during the final arc of the series, so he was absent from the story for an extended period of time. But,when Yuji Itadori finally got a chance to save his dear friend, the two had a one-on-one conversation that unveiled Megumi’s true feelings.
In this simple but endearing conversation, he confesses how he wanted to protect Tsumiki and preserve the normal life that they used to have. Sadly, most of that life is gone after his sister’s tragic death, but Megumi is still extremely thankful to Itadori for saving him from Sukuna’s possession. This was a defining moment for him, as his character arc is slowly wrapping up before the series’ ending.

Megumi lived most of his life as a sorcerer for the sake of his sick sister, Tsumiki. And thus, his soul finally plunged into darkness & despair when she died, which was maliciously planned out by none other than Sukuna. But whenthe combined efforts of Itadori, Nobara and Megumi were enough to finally defeat the King of Curses, the two had one final internal confrontation.
With his dying breath, Sukuna tried to taunt Megumi and make fun of him for everything that the young sorcerer had lost during the final battle. But he didn’t cave in and rejected Sukuna’s ideas, claiming that not only was he aware that he was never going to live a normal life, but that it was the actions of kind people like Yuji Itadori what inspired him to keep on living, to help others just like they had helped him.
