It takes two days to get the hiddenHonkai: Star RailachievementsEnds Above the MeansandMeans Above the Ends.They’re not the only multi-daysecret achievementsthe game has; however, they do expand on the lore of long-lived species, Aeons, and their followers, while also tasking players with crossing to other worlds.

The quest to unlock these achievements,Bestial Ferocity, has two stages that require one daily reset. Finishing the first stage on day one rewards players with the Ends Above the Means achievement. After one daily reset, players immediately receive a message that prompts the second quest,Bestial Ferocity: The End, which unlocks Means Above the Ends.
How To Start Bestial Ferocity
Bestial Ferocityis an Adventure Mission on the Xianzhou Luofu. To start it, players should follow the mark on Starskiff Haven next to the Jeweler’s Pagoda, where Strales are exchanged for Eidolons and other items. Initiating a conversation withFoxian Gao Tang and the outworlder, Bennawill beginBestial Ferocity.
Trailblazers discover Benna is a follower of Yaoshi, the Aeon of Abundance, and releases foreign species into other worlds as worship. Benna convinces them, with a reward, to find the sheep at Scalegorge Waterscape. But in order to do so, they must go to theRealm-Keeping Commissionand borrow a Diting.
Borrow A Diting And Meet The Three Benevolent Ones
Once at the Realm-Keeping Commission, players should turn to the desk on the left and talk to Jingyan. She will mention that the Diting is a forensic tool, but still lends one to the Trailblazer. The Diting can then be used to reveal the sheep’s tracks.
Teleporting to thequest marker at Scalegorge Waterscape, players can follow the scent revealed by the Diting. The trail will end on the beach to the left before the stairs where the Space Anchor is.
Trailblazers must defeat the Abundance Spritesat the beach to proceed. The two Wooden Lupusare weak againstImaginary, Wind, and Fire, while the Golden Hound is weak against Quantum, Lightning, and Ice.
Once they are defeated, a woman called Zhongshan will appear. She informs the Trailblazer that the wolves were released by Yaoshi worshippers, the Unshackled. Zhongshan offers to broker a talk between them and the Unshackled leaders, the Benevolent Ones.
Players should teleport to theF1 Space Anchor at the Elixir Research Terrace in the Alchemy Commissiononce the conversation with Zhongshan concludes. The Benevolent Ones are right in front of the Space Anchor. While they bicker, Jingyan convinces the Trailblazer via text to destroy them from within.

In line with this, the Trailblazer must talk to each member individually. After that, the Trailblazer will suggest bringingBelobogian automatonsto Zhongshan to make peace between the Benevolent Ones. A quick text to Serval will prompt the Trailblazer togo to the Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone.
Fix The Automatons & Persuade The Benevolent Ones
Heading for Jarilo-VI, players shoulduse the southern Energy Hub Space Anchorto get close to Serval’s location. Players can then run over and talk to Serval with Zhongshan. The automatons can be repaired by interacting with them and submitting Zhongshan’soverride modules, which were received during the cutscene.
Each automaton should be interacted with again. To repair them completely, players must solve the Magflow Link Puzzle. The solution is as follows:
Automaton Spider
Automaton Direwolf
Once the automatons are connected, they will attack the Trailblazer. The Direwolf is weak to Imaginary, Ice, and Lightning, while the Houndis weak toPhysical and Lightning. Zhongshan and the Trailblazer will take the Automatons back to Xianzhou Luofu once they are defeated.
Unlock The Ends Above the Means Hidden Achievement
Back at Scalegorge Waterscape, players can meet Zhongshan on the beach, where she will ask the Trailblazer to convince the Benevolent Ones that the automatons are worthy of their “rescue." Benna and Heathmann only require talking to, but Tonya wants the Trailblazer to prove the automatons’ fighting power.
Trailblazers will be locked into a fight with two automatons. Lightning will work on both the grizzly and the beetle. The Grizzly also has additional weaknesses to Ice and Fire, and Wind and Imaginary will do the Beetle in.
The Benevolent Ones will all agree to release the automatons into Xianzhou Luofu upon the machines’ defeat. Players can then simply approach the group after the long talk to trigger a cutscene. It will lead to the Trailblazer’s transportation to the Exalting Sanctum, where they must talk to Nannan, then the Benevolent Ones,before unlocking the achievementEnds Above the Means.
Unlock Bestial Ferocity: The End & The Means Above the Ends Hidden Achievement
Players should wait for a daily reset. Upon opening the game, Trailblazers will receive a text from Zhongshan. She reveals she is not a member of the Unshackled, nor is she of the Xianzhou Luofu.

On her instruction, players should head back to the Exalting Sanctum. There, they will meet Nannan, who holds Zhongshan’s gift and her final letter.
It’s revealed, along with the hidden achievementMeans Above the Ends, that she is a member of the Masked Fools, Aha the Elation’s followers. TheAeon of Joymay be familiar with Trailblazers who frequent the Simulated Universe. There, it’s believed that the search for and feeling of humor and joy is the meaning of life, even if it comes at the expense of others.
