Honkai: Star Railhas officially announced its upcoming five-star character Imbibitor Lunae. The character had been the subject ofHonkai: Star Railleaksin the past, where leakers revealed his abilities and more.

Leakers have already shared details for ver 20 unreleased characters, with the majority of theserumoredHonkai: Star Railunits not having official release datesyet. One of the leaked characters was Imbibitor Lunae, who was said to be the five-star version of Dan Heng. ManyHonkai: Star Railfans online already expressed their excitement over Imbibitor Lunae and his kit, as well as the role he’ll play in the game’s overall story.

The wait is finally over asHonkai: Star Railannounced Imbibitor Lunae on its official Twitter page. In a tweet, he was introduced as the “High Elder of the Luofu, bearer of the Azure Dragon’s legacy,” who has the duty of guarding the Ambrosial Arbor. The five-star character will be an Imaginary-type following the Path of Destruction, meaning he can deal high damage while maintaining high defenses. AlthoughHonkai: Star Raildidn’t reveal when Imbibitor Lunae would be released, reports claimed that he’ll be part ofVersion 1.3’s banner along with Fu Xuan.

ManyHonkai: Star Railplayers were happy to see that Imbibitor Lunae was finally coming to the game as they wanted to see Dan Heng’s dragon version. Some joked that they were ready to “go broke” while trying to pull for Imbibitor Lunae once his banner comes out. Meanwhile, others said they’ll save up for him if they don’t getKafka or Blade in Version 1.2.

Dan Heng is a mysterious character who doesn’t talk about his past much, so the existence of Imbibitor Lunae would definitely add more depth to his backstory inHonkai: Star Rail. In the lead-up to the Xianzhou Luofu excursion, Dan Heng hinted that he was banned from stepping foot in the area. It might have something to do with the Amrbrosial Arbor, which is a tree-like artifact with fruits that granted Xianzhou people immortality. Some players also theorized that Blade was the reason Dan Heng got banned from the Xianzhou Luofu.

For now,Honkai: Star Railfans might have to wait until Version 1.2 to find out how the Xianzhou Luofu story would unfold.HoYoverse will also host another Special Programon July 8 that will detail the upcoming news and updates for Version 1.2. Perhaps they might see a teaser for Imbibitor Lunae there as well.
