Though much of the conversation about PlayStation 4 exclusive titles is currently taken up by Naughty Dog’sThe Last of Us 2, which has continued tobreak sales recordsdespite a mixed-to-negative reception from many fans, Santa Monica Studio’sGod of War(2018) is still held in overwhelmingly high regard for reinventing the long-time series of hack-and-slash games with a harrowing, personal story. For those who don’t want to sit through the game to get that story, soon there will be an easier way to consume it once aGod of Warchildren’s book is released.

B is for Boyis a “humorous take” onGod of Warin the form of an ABC book for adults according to its listing on Amazon, where it can currently be pre-ordered for its September 1 release. God of Warwas a resounding successfor Sony and Santa Monica Studio upon release, selling over three million copies in its first three days on the market, so it only makes sense to capitalize on that. A children’s book may not be what all fans would have expected, particularly one that was described by Tempest as only being kid-friendly “for the most part” in an interview with Polygon, but it certainly looks cute enough for audiences of all ages.

ThisGod of Warchildren’s book is not the only auxiliary piece of media in the works for the PS4 exclusive title. Earlier this year, Dark Horse Comics announced afaithful recreation of Atreus' journalcalledGod of War: Lore And Legendswill also be releasing in September.

Many are still waiting to hear whether a sequel to the successful soft-reboot will be coming anytime soon, as it was one of the biggest PS4 successesmissing from Sony’s PlayStation 5 reveal event. That said, a sequel toHorizon: Zero Dawnwas announced during the event last month, so there is still hope that Santa Monica Studio will follow suit.

Some fans have been gearing up for that anticipated sequel with related creations of their own. For instance, a SpanishGod of Warfan-page created acustom PS5 design based on Kratos' Leviathan Axeand other weapons.
